Birds of a Feather

Okay, I think it's safe to say that Cosmo Cricket paper is my new thing. LOL. This is my third card in a row using this fab paper. AND today's pattern is appropriately named Early Bird. I designed this card for this month's Sisterhood of the Traveling Cards theme--Come Fly With Me--hosted by the lovely Susan. Just to fair warn though, the swap cards will be ever so slightly simplified, just because I do all my stitching by hand and 5 more of these might put me in the mad house. :) I'm really pleased with how the layout on this one turned it. Sometimes it's hard to execute a vision in ones head, but I played with this one a bit and in the end it's pretty much what I'd been hoping for. I would love to find out if there's a tool out there that will round off the top of my cards if I choose to do this layout again. It was a bit of a bugger to get my fiskars circle cutter just the right circumference and then not to go too far past the center line. Okay, enough about that. Hope you all have a superb Wednesday...halfway to the weekend!
Oh and I would LOVE for you to join my TGF card swap! If you have a moment check it out!! Thanks!

Holy cow WOW! This is so much more complicated than my bird card. I can't get over that you hand stitch your cards. I love the colors and Cosmo Cricket DP has been a long time fav of mine. I also love what you did with the inside. The girls are going to love it as much as I do.

Oh my goodness!! Kadie, this is out of the park fantastic!! You're right, that paper is wonderful. Your ideas, and ability to take them from just an idea to a gorgeous creation is mind boggling. That hand stitching is gorgeous as always, and I don't think I'd want to do 6 of them either. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!!

This is super cute! Thanks for sharing how you did the 1/2 circle flap. That would have stumped me. Plus, now I now not to sell my circle cutter! LOL!
Love this DP and your birds! Too cute! Hope I get one in the swap!

Wow! Terrific card, Kadie, for the July SOTC swap!! I can't even imagine how long it took you to do all that stitching...it's amazing!!! I agree it could drive you bonkers to do all that for 6 cards.
