Woven with Love

Hellooooo and Happy Wednesday!
Did anyone catch Glee last night? Oh my goodness...Sue in Glee! Loved it!! And I just think the way they depicted the whole Justin Bieber phenomenon that's happening right now was hilarious and well done. I still have the songs in my head this morning! :)

Okay, enough about Glee (until next week!) here is my card for today using last week's challenge over at By LORi Designs. Gotta love these super sweet color challenges!

The colors were Soft Sky, Baja Breeze, Real Red and Pear Pizzaz (or anything you can find that's close to the above swatch) and I chose to use lil Lollipop Ella (the face of BLD) for the occasion. I also really wanted to come up with a unique way of incorporating the colors. So I decided to first weave the papers together and emboss over them, to create sort of a quilted look. And the super cool thing is that I saw over at Splitcoaststampers that they have something similar for their tutorial this week! Nice!

Thanks for stopping by to look at my card. Hope you have a GREAT day!

Specific SU colors used: Soft Sky, Baja Breeze, Real Red and Pear Pizzaz

What a fun card and a great idea for a background. I'm gonna be trying that one for sure - great way to use up scraps. Love your little Lollipop too, these images are just to much fun!
