Hi Friends! Happy Thursday!
I'm back with another FABULOUS Deconstructed Sketch today!! I hope you had a blast last week Hoppin' with us! Thanks to everyone who stopped by and commented and Congrats to the Hop Winners!

We're back to just playing for fun this week, but you've got another Sponsored Challenge right around the corner!
Every week I find myself soooo eager to see what Jen's next sketch will be and I hope you feel the same!! Now we're at Sketch 8--how time flies--and I'm DEFinitely having fun!! :)

This week I pulled out a brand new digi from Whiff of Joy Stamps. I'm really trying to make good use of stamps I've been hoarding and haven't yet inked, but I have to admit...I just LOVE Michael Jackson's music and so I couldn't resist this FAB MJ Henry stamp!! Can't you just hear Billie Jean or Don't Stop Til You Get Enough or PYT, right now? I'm totally listening to it on my iPod as I type this :)

The papers I chose for this card are from My Mind's Eye Lime Twist. I thought they had a nice Super Star 80's flair to them, which was what I was hoping for in putting this fun card together.
I used Copics to color up Henry and of course I had to add some Stickles too so that his glove would Sparkle!! The button is Basic Grey and the String and Punch are Martha Stewart.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you'll play along with us! Be sure to check out what the Sketch Girls have for you over at the DSC Blog!!

Happy Wishes

Hi Friends!
It's almost the weekend and I'm so very excited! We get to hang with some dear friends of ours this weekend and I've been really looking forward to that!

I have a card for you today from Claudia and Company, but first I just have to say that I don't know what's up with Blogger and it's driving me nuts! I couldn't upload anything for the longest time...I think I might have to switch to Typepad. We'll see. I'll give Blogger one more chance. :)

None-the-less, I'm here with an Inspiration card for you, using one of the June digi stamps from Claudia and Company. This one is by artist John Grutta and can be found HERE in the C&Co Store.

I really wanted to keep my card CAS today, so that the image would be the focus, but in the end I couldn't help adding a little embellishment. I also did quite a bit of stitching on this card, but it's a little hard to see around the Nestie border.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a WONDERFUL weekend. For more Claudia and Company Inspiration, be sure to pop over to the C&Co Blog!

Deconstructed Blog Hop

It's a Deconstructed Sketch Vacation Blog Hop! Jen is on vacation this week so she thought it would be fun to mix things up a bit this week and have a blog hop! And you know what a blog hop means... that's right PRIZES!! For this blog hop there will be TWO prizes, one for one very lucky commenter and one for one very lucky randomly drawn participant in the sketch challenge.

So what do you need to do? Well, hop around to all the design team blogs and leave a comment. The list is below so you can hop in your own order. Very easy! Second, take a look at the sketch and make a project using the sketch as creative inspiration, post it online (blog or gallery) and link it back to the InLinkz on Jen's blog. Again, very easy!! On June 27th, 2011 Jen will announce the winner of the comment prize on her blog. The winner of the sketch participation prize will be announced on June 30th along with the next sketch.

So what are the prizes? Well Jen has kept that a secret so you will need to take a trip to her blog to find out what the prizes will be! But they are sure to be BIG! (and a big thanks to Jen, not only for another awesome sketch this week, but also for the prizes)!!

For my card today, I've used a stamp from Lily of the Valley called Big Present and paired it with papers from My Mind's Eye--American-Made line. I tried to be as true to the sketch as I could, but I have to admit I did take liberty with the scale of things. :) The sentiment is from PTI and the stitching is done by hand.

And now on to the HOPPING!
Deconstructed Sketch Vacation Blog Hop List:
Arielle Gordon
Lori Boyd
Kadie Ensley--you are here :)
Sheri Gilson
Donna Wardle
Emma Eads
Jessica Diedrich
Anna Maria Nilsson

You Inspire Me

Hiya!
Can you believe it's Monday already? I don't know about you, but the weekend went by too fast for me!! It was a good one though!

I'm back today with a little Inspiration post for Claudia and Company. I have loved this Little Miss Mia stamp (by Jane's Doodles), since the moment I first laid eyes on her! She is so CUTE and so much fun to COLOR!! Love her!

Over the weekend I made a very similar card with the scored border and the plaid center, for my SIL, so when I sat down to make my Mia card, I was drawn to that same CAS layout.

The paper is American Crafts (I think...I have to double check on that) and the butterflies are Martha Stewart Crafts. The sentiment is one of two that's included with Mia from Claudia and Company.

I'm including my other Mia card below--that I'd showcased on release day--so you can see the other sentiment that comes with her.

Thanks so much for popping by today! I'll see you tomorrow for some more fun! Be sure and pop over to the Claudia and Company Blog for more Mia Inspiration!

Beach Baby

Hiya! Happy Thursday!
I'm back with another FABULOUS Deconstructed Sketch today!! I just can't get enough of Jen's sketches. Every week I find myself soooo eager to see what her creative mind will come up with next!! Now we're at Sketch 6 for this week--how time flies!
And again, I'm LOVING the opportunity to get to ink up stamps I've been hoarding!

This week has got to be one of my fave sketches so far. I ADORE the twine wrapped panels with the circle in the middle. It leaves so much room to play, as well as a bit of negative space too...which I'm drawn to. I grabbed one of the cutie pie Sugar Plums from C.C. Designs over at All That Scraps (Bathing Beauty). I seem to be trying to beckon Summer lately with all of the fun beachy stamps I've gotten to play with, so I couldn't resist inking up this darling beach baby too and fitting her into that fab circular space in the middle of this sketch. I also really wanted to use some sweet and soft colors for this girlie card, because I don't do that often enough!

The papers I chose for this card are from an old K&Company paper line--which I think was intended for baby girl stuff. The twine is actually embroidery thread, something I always use for my hand stitching. And the Amy R sentiment is also from All That Scraps.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you'll play along with us! Be sure to check out what the Sketch Girls have for you over at the DSC Blog!!

Crown Thy Good With Brotherhood

Hi Friends!
I hope you're having a great Wednesday!

I'm popping in with a little card today that I made for my friend, Barb's swap! The theme was Red, White, and Blue and I just couldn't resist signing up! I love this color combo (just as Barb does) and it gave me a GREAT excuse to play with this little House Mouse stamp that I've had for ages. I hope it's okay that this wee little brotherhood of mice has wrapped itself up in the flag! They're just trying to be patriotic, right? :)

Okay, on to the card...I had picked out this Tim Holtz patterned paper, that's super vintage, so I wanted to color the flag to match that old, rustic look. I used my Copics and then squared the edges with a white gel pen (added a bit of Stickles to the background stars too). And then I decided to just go super simple with the card layout to draw attention to the image and because I knew I had to color up 5 more. I don't know if this happens to you, but when I put together my first card for a swap (aka the prototype), I always end up having a bit of trouble making the rest just as good as the first. I definitely try--that's the perfectionist in me--but there's just nothing like that first card! Do you have that issue too? :)

Alas, I digress. These cards are now off and running to their destination and I can't wait to see the cards I get in return! Thanks again to my friend, Barb and thanks to You for stopping by my blog today!

Hi There!
Happy Tuesday!
I'm back with another fun Puddle Jumper card for you today! It's that time of the week when we get to showcase one of the fab June stamps from By LORi Designs! Yay!

For my card today I've used Beach Hannah. And I think Hannah helped me bring some summery, sunshiney weather to Seattle, because as soon as she was all colored up, the sun came out to play! And yep, I even wore my flip flops all day (I may have even had a popsicle too)!!

Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my card. Please pop over to the BLD blog and check out all the FAB DT creations!! And have a great "sunshiney" Tuesday!

A Happy Day

Hiya! Happy Thursday!
I'm back with another FABULOUS Deconstructed Sketch today!! I just can't get enough of Jen's sketches. Every week I find myself soooo eager to see what her creative mind will come up with next!! I can't believe we're at Sketch 5 already!
And again, I'm LOVING the opportunity to get to ink up stamps I've been hoarding!

This week I grabbed one of the fabulous A la mode stamps to work with from My Favorite Things. I thought the slendor scale of this stamp would go really well with this sketch and I really wanted to create something super cute for a friend of mine who just had a birthday!
Also, I have to admit, this is my first ROUND card!! Wow, I have to give props to all of you talented card makers who use a round layout...it's a challenge!! I found myself in desperate need of one of the large circular cutters! As you can see I flipped the sketch on it's side too.

The papers I chose for this card are from one of the new Lime Twist paper pads from My Mind's Eye. The ribbon is from Amuse and the buttons are Basic Grey (Green at Heart). Oh and I applied just a touch of Stickles to frost this sweet cake!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you'll play along with us! Be sure to check out what the Sketch Girls have for you over at the DSC Blog!!
