I Heart the 80's
I truly truly do love everything 80's. I had the best time growing up with all the neon, side ponytails, stirrup pants, leg warmers...and the music!! Hall and Oates, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Pat Benatar, Culture Club, Wham and the list goes on...some of the best music of all time. So, imagine my excitement when The Greeting Farm added 80's Anya to its collection! But she is a limited edition, so get her while you can!
It's Farm Fresh Friday over at TGF today and Cindy Haffner has given us this awesome sketch! I hope you'll play along...like, totally, for sure!
Have a rockin' weekend!

Stamps: The Greeting Farm, 80's Anya limited edition

Autumn Blessings
This time of year in Seattle is always a little strange weather-wise. It's always very cold in the morning, so we layer layer layer, but then by the afternoon the sun is out and it's blazing hot, so then we peel away the layers! But regardless of the temperature the leaves are still changing, the pumpkin spice lattes are available and my favorite time of year has arrived! It's also my sweet friend, Roxane's favorite season and that's why she chose "Anything Fall" for this month's sisterhood of the traveling cards theme. To go along with that theme I chose to use items from October Afternoon (fitting for our fave season, eh?). It always seems when I sit down to make a card that there's a million possiblities. I fiddled around with this one for awhile and then settled on my card for today. Thanks for popping over today and Happy Thursday!
Deets:
Stamps and Paper: October Afternoon Weathervane
Paper: American Crafts PP and Textured CS
Ink: Brown Stazon

Vacation is Bliss
Hello!
I hope you are doing just dandy! I have returned from my little vacay, but I can honestly say...we didn't want to come home. My husband picked out the best little condo to stay in and it was so relaxing and beautiful! We really enjoyed ourselves...and DH even let me peruse the LSS! I've included a few pics for inquiring minds.
I also have a small card to show you today. It was a little thank you that I sent to a friend. I don't do enough thank you cards and I really should because there are so many wonderfully sweet people in my life that I'd like to send little thank you's to all the time. Alas. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

You can dry emboss, heat emboss, cuttlebug, nestie or any other form of embossing...and that's it! The sky's the limit! Hope you will play along over on the TGF blog and thanks for stopping by today!
Have a great weekend! I'm thinking about you all as I'm sipping iced tea by the pool...okay, sorry, really I'm just thinking about my dear husband and relaxing together on our mini vacay to celebrate 4 wonderful years of marriage!
See ya Monday!

On My Honor
"On my honor, I will try to serve God and my country, to help people at all times and to live by the Girl Scout law." That's the GS promise, folks! Yep, I was a Girl Scout and I said that promise in front of my troop (friends and parents) so many years ago...there is also a GS law too (as mentioned in the promise). As I grew up I forgot about the scouts, the traditions and the badges...but I have not forgotten the words. It's funny how you don't think about something for so many years and yet you realize you still try and live your life this way. Of course I fail constantly, I'm only human, but deep down my heart has always been to serve God and to help people at all times. And I've come to know that being part of a team is invaluable, specifically the one I'm on with my husband. He is amazing. So kind, so encouraging, so calming, so smart, and above all--Loving. Today is our fourth anniversary and while I never had any intention of dedicating this Cute Troop card to him (LOL), as I'm writing this post, I can't help but be so thankful for the team that we make up together and for how he helps me every day to try and live out that promise I made as a Scout so many years ago.
Thanks so much for popping over to check out my card today. I would love it if you'd leave a comment about the special "teammates" in your life!
Lots of Hugs,
Kadie

Waiting to Welcome Ayla
Hi, hello, how are ya?
I'm here today with another sweet baby card. I tell ya...8 months ago was a busy time! LOL!
I went to a shower last weekend for my dear friend, Emily who is expecting a baby girl next month. Emily has been super encouraging and supportive to me since I started making cards...she's one of the only people who gets to see each of them in real life everyday when I bring them to work to be photographed! So of course I had to come up with something super special just for her and to celebrate baby Ayla's much anticipated arrival. I picked out this little shoe paper at JoAnn's knowing I wanted to use it just for her card.
Okay, so, back to the shower, oh my goodness, this little girl is going to be decked out in THE CUTEST stuff...so many adorable baby girl clothes!! I also was able to gift a baby chipboard album to Emily and I hope she has a blast with it. Lots of love to you, Emily!
Have a great day, Friends!

Chit Chat With You Anytime!
Hi There!
I know it's Sunday and I don't usually post on Sunday, but...there's a lot of fun stuff happening at The Greeting Farm this week and I wanted to give each exciting element it's own special highlight. As you may have noticed on Friday, TGF is proud to be welcoming a new artist to the Farm Family and her name is Janet McDonnell. Her images have a teen spin on them and are very fun to work with. There are 3 digi's that will be available from The Greeting Farm on the 15th of this month and the one I have to show you today is Chit Chat Carrie. Back in the day when I was a teen, cell phones weighed 10 lbs and looked like walkie talkies! But if my parents would have let me, I would have chit chatted away night and day, just like Carrie here.
Be sure to stop by the TGF blog and let us know what you think of the new line and to give Janet a warm welcome as well!
Happy Sunday and I'll see you tomorrow!

Time for Laundry
or not!
Personally, I would love to let all my housework go if it meant that I could stamp all day long. :)
It's Farm Fresh Friday over at the Greeting Farm and this week's challenge is to use a sketch provided by our beloved DT coordinator, Jessica. For this card I used the new stamp Laundry from the Hope and Grace collection. I think she's a doll! I also ended up flipping this sketch so that I could have the card open where the scallops are. Thanks for stopping by today and hope you'll join in on the fun!
Hugs, Kadie

School Days
Hello Friends!
Sorry for my absence this week! I have a card for you today that I've been working on for several days now. I was working to find all the right elements I wanted to use and it wasn't until I received a package the other day with sme blog candy I'd won that it all came together. Thanks, Rachel! :)
This stamp is from All That Scraps. Her name is shy Kiki La Rue and she was a gift to me by some gals who are very near and dear to my heart. The gals in our swap group called, The Sisterhood of the Traveling cards were so sweet to give me a very generous gift card to ATS and this is one of the stamps I was able to purchase. Thanks SO much, Girls!
This stamp and this card take me right back to my school days...hopscotch and spelling bees and recess...what fun!
Thanks for stopping by today. Don't forget, tomorrow is FFF at The Greeting Farm!

It's What's Inside
Hi Friends!
This has been quite the exciting week, eh? I think so. :)
Today is Farm Fresh Friday over at The Greeting Farm Blog and you know what that means! A new challenge and free stamp!
This week the challenge was one that Marie came up with and it was to put our focus on the inside of the card. I had done one like this before with Surfer Ian, so it was really hard for me to think up something different because that one kept coming back to my mind. But the first moment I saw this darling Wild Sprout, Savannah I pictured her on a stage. Then this challenge came up and I thought what a great opportunity to put her on her stage and make that the inside "surprise" of the card. Thanks for challenging us, Marie! Hope you all decide to play along this week! Have a great weekend!
Deets:
Stamps: The Greeting Farm Wild Sprouts Savannah, Studio G sentiment
Paper: K & Company Carolyn Gavin Greenhouse, DCWV Animal Crackers, AC textured CS
Ink: Copics, Momento Black
Embies: Nesties, Decorative Scissors, Pink Thread, Misc Flower Brads

Trick or Treat
I can't believe it's that time again, but yes, Summer is almost over and Fall is right around the corner! That means it's time to showcase Halloween and other Festive Fall cards!
Today's card comes from the monthly card kit challenge with my buddies Mary and Sandra! This month it was Sandra's turn to send the kit out and boy was it a good one! As you can see here the papers and embies are beautiful...and I didn't even use them all, but I wanted toooooo! And this Whipper Snapper image is Adorable!! I wasn't sure what I could do with a mummy at first, but now I'm totally in love with this little guy and this card!
It is SO much fun playing with these kits! Thanks for stopping by today. Tomorrow is Farm Fresh Friday so be sure to check back then too!

September Release
Good Morning!
After much anticipation it's release day at The Greeting Farm and Cindy and I are offical Farmers! Yipeeee! I hope you all have enjoyed the sneak peeks of the new stamps. They are all available now on the TGF website.
Today I have Gingerbell the Cat to show you and she's accented by this gorgeous TGF Anyaversary paper!
I decided to emboss this image (and sentiment) to give it a little more definition. And for the layout, I ended up casing one of my own cards! LOL! Hey, if it works, right? In fact, I'll give a little prezzie to the first person to come up with which card of mine that I cased. :)
I think Gingerbell is so cute and kind of reminds me of Hello Kitty...but cuter! Definitely stay tuned for more of her in the near future!
Have a great day!
Oh and here's where you can find some more inspiration for how to use these new stamps!
