Deck the Halls
Good Monday Morning!
I had a wonderfully relaxing weekend! I did a little stamping, did a little cleaning...did a lot more stamping than cleaning...isn't that how it goes! :) And it rained rained rained! Josh and I went to go get coffee Saturday morning but couldn't find any umbrellas...so we decided to experience Seattle at it's finest and ended completely soaked. It was fun though!
On to today's card: I recently took advantage of the new stamp presale at All That Scraps and this cutie Trevor stamp was one that arrived on my doorstep!
This month's theme for the Sisterhood of the Traveling Cards (a monthly swap group) is Christmas cards that include a Christmas memory, but the kicker is that we can't use Red or Green. So...I've been thinking about this card. Besides wrapping presents, which is my all time favorite thing to do at Christmas time, many of my fond memories are from when we've gotten our Christmas tree and then proceeded to decorate it with all the trimmings! Although I did use a bit of green on this card, it's the nontraditional green...so maybe it will be okay to submit. :)
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope that your week is SUPER!

ReplyDeleteSo sweet - I'm pretty sure the hostess won't mind that wee bit of green peeking out! It's so sweet - such fond memories we have of the wonderous season, picking the tree and trimmin' it! Love the card, Kadie :)
ReplyDeleteAwwww! Decorating the tree is one of my favorites too. Right behind wrapping!! I LOVE to wrap!!!!! I love these Trevor stamps!! Gotta have them!! Thanks for sharing, Kadiebug!
ReplyDeleteLove Ya!
Love your card, Kadie! And love the tradition it portrays...trimming the tree...my favorite holiday tradition. I think I have about 300 ornaments I've collected over the years! I'm sure the hostess is going to love it too!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is super cute! I LOVE the layout and how you made a bigger frame with the head poping over it. The colors are fabulous and non-traditional but still have that holiday feeling.
