Waiting for Baby Noelle
Hi Friends!
How was your weekend?
It was gorgeous here in Seattle and it's about time...we've been waiting oh-so patiently!!
On Saturday I went to a baby shower for my Sister-in-law and soon-to-be, Niece!! Everyone in my family is giddy as we eagerly await little Noelle, who will be the first Grandchild and the first Baby Girl in my extended family, since my Sister was born 28 years ago!
So, of course, I had to make my Brother and SIL a card to celebrate Baby Noelle (who's due to arrive at the end of July).
For my card I wanted to do something super soft and sweet in color and style and that's how I ended up picking this bunny stamp from SU. It's actually been in my stash for several years and never been inked up! For shame! But he was waiting for a very special card...and his time has come! :)
The papers are Prima and I couldn't decide which beatiful side of the paper to use, so I made the patterned paper the card itself and kept the inside as is, to reveal more of the pattern, then just added a strip of white to write my message on.
I also wanted to share with you a little somethin somethin that I made for a second shower that's up and coming for Noelle (shhhhhh don't tell my SIL you've seen her prezzie)...it's a Onesie (and bibs and burpclothes and socks and blankies) Flower pot!!
I saw a similar idea on Etsy and I just knew I had to try it! The parents-to-be had registered for a lot of pink and green little items, so I knew this idea would be cute to put them all together. I got the little silk flowers for $1 from Michaels and instead of using a round/oblong flower pot, I grabbed this little khaki basket off their registry (a gift within a gift)! I'm not sure if all the details are visible in the pic, but I lined the basket with a receiving blanket and then strung some sweet Martha Stewart leaf garland along the outside. It was a fun little project and I have to admit, I can't resist the adorable little booties!! TOO CUTE!!
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful week!
And be sure to pop back over, there's a TON going on this week...I had 12 cards to work on over the weekend!!
This is the cutest flower pot ever! And the card is just precious!
ReplyDeleteWhat a darlin' prezzie for the soon to be newest girl in the family!! I think Noelle definitely deserves you inking up a "new" stamp!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what else you created this weekend!

Sooooooo sweet, Kadie! This is beyond precious, and will be a wonderful gift to the mommy to be (said from a mom of 3 girls!) It's darling in design and the colors are so fun! What a beautiful name they have chosen - I bet people will think she was born in December :) Gorgeous Kadie creation! x0x0
