Hi Friends! It's time for another Cullen card. This one is Little Jasper Ian. When I first saw this stamp (The Greeting Farm's, Hello Ian) I thought of Jasper and his background story. I don't know, it may be more appropriate for Carlise, but I really think of Jasper as a gentleman and the strong silent type, which are two things this stamp brought to mind. And I also envisioned him bringing this flower to Alice.
I have tried to tie all the cards together in a couple ways. The first is with distressing. I want the cards to seem from a different time; aged a bit with history, as we know these characters to be. The second is with this misc. stamp that I have sort of envisioned as the Cullen Family Crest. I have tried to incorporate it somewhere in the background of each card. Unfortunately, with today's card I used 3 PP's and 3 textured cardstocks, which left little room for me to include the crest. I decided this time to use it on the inside of the card.
I'm not sure if you can see it very well, but there is a sentiment on the front of this card. Also, I welcome any thoughts toward whether or not I need something else along the edges of the circle that outline the Ian Image.
I hope you enjoy today's card and thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend.

Awesomely stunning card, Kadie! Your colors and DP definitely give off the "bygone days" vibe, and I love the crest on the inside! I agree, Jasper is a gentelman - and he would totally be giving Alice a flower! Wow! It is impressive not only how much thought you put into making these, but also how successful you have been in translating thought to paper!
ReplyDeleteCatherine! You have made my day with this comment! Thank you Thank you! Going to PM you right now!
ReplyDeleteKadie - You make my day every day! :D {{{{HappyHugs}}}}
ReplyDeleteKadie from the post of your first trading card of Edward(sigh...yes expect this everytime the name comes from my lips or in this case finger tips)I very patiently wait for the next card to be revealed. You are achieving you goals of aged and bringing out what that character embodies. Bravo!
ReplyDeleteThe color combination, patterns and finishing touches make this so vintage! You are making me want to go read those books!
ReplyDeleteI love it! Jasper is one of my favorites: anyone who can alter moods, well: he'd be handy to have around! Waiting for Alice :)

ReplyDeleteKadie, I really can't say much more than has already been said. I look forward to each and every one of your Cullen cards. I so loved reading the books, and as Catherine said...you are doing an impressive job of putting their personalities into your cards and bringing them to life. You're doing a fabulous job! Thank you so much for sharing!!!!
ReplyDeleteNeed something? Are you kidding me? You don't tamper with perfection, and this card is definitely PERFECTION!!!! I love every striking detail!!! Your "Twilight" series of cards is INCREDIBLE!!! I love each and every one:o)

ReplyDeleteOH wow, this card is just adorable, and I don't even know what the heck you girls are talking about with the names! This little guy reminds me of my dear nephew when he was little & my sister made him a little plaid shorts "suit" to wear to my wedding. He was so adorable, just like this!! THe colors on this are just stunning!
