No Patterned Paper??!!?!
Are you for reals?? LOL! This week's Farm Fresh Friday challenge is to make a card without the help of our dear friend, Patterned Paper. I can already see the tomatoes being thrown my way because this week's idea was mine. :) I just thought I'd get us all back to a bit of our grassroot days when we thought we had to buy all the SU background stamps to make bg's...which I did end up using for one of my two cards today! Haha. Well, I hope you have fun with this challenge and I can't wait to see what you come up with. Be sure and stop back to my blog next week because I'm going to be posting some blog candy to celebrate surpassing 100 followers. Wahooo! Thanks, Friends!!
Deets for card 1:
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, Me Time Anya
Paper: Groovy Guava, Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Not Quite Navy
Ink: Guava, Baja, Celery, Not Quite Navy
Embies: SU Groovy Guava Ribbon, Paper Piercing Tool, White Thread
Deets for card 2:
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, Me Time Anya, SU sentiment, Hanna Stamps Floor stamp, SU background stamp
Paper: Mat Stack Brights CS, Choc Chip, Kraft, Wild Wasabi
Ink: Copics, Wild Wasabi, Baja Breeze, Emboss Powder
Embies: Nesties, Leaves from Forte Tea Bags
Ooooh these are super cute! I don't know what you were talking about Kadie because I think you colored up Miss Anya perfectly with the papers you chose. I love how you color blocked the second card and tied it off at the bottom with a background stamp. There's that fabulous hand stitching on the 1st card. Fabulous layouts.
ReplyDeleteOh girl you nailed the No DP!! Your cards are so elegant, BEAUTIFUL!!
ReplyDeleteTwo cards Kadie?!? Wow! Why does it seem like you really enjoyed this challenge?!? I think my hives have subsided and I'm ready to have my patterned paper back now! LOL hehehe Have a great weekend Kadie!
ReplyDeleteThanks for throwing us to the wolves Kadie!!! Just kidding! Now I know why you gave us this challenge, because YOU are so good at it! Both cards are so beautiful, I especially love the colors on the first and the layers of blue on the second one!
ReplyDeleteHi Kadie, I saw this on the blog and I just loved it soooo much. I love the colors and everything. Have a great day. Lisa g
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty cards! DP is my fav too, so I feel ya...but you did a wonderful job for this challenge!
ReplyDeleteWow! This is absolutely gorgeous, Kadie!!! You certainly didn't need any DP to create a great card!!!
ReplyDeleteCute cards, Kaders! I'm especially loving Anya at the spa! So cute!
ReplyDeleteYou know I totally object to no pattern paper cards (I'm the PaperAddict after all - LOL), but these are great!
{{{HUGS}}}
This is crazy, I can not believe I would fall in love SO MUCH with cards made with no patterned paper. I couldn't do it as you can plainly see, I had to stamp my own pattern on plain paper. LOL But WOW - You've got it, and everything is GORGEOUS!
ReplyDeleteAnd look at the details, and those perfect stitches. Beautiful Work!
Hugs
Lynda
Cute cards Kadie! These totally make me think of the spa!
ReplyDeleteThat first card is just gorgeous! Love it!
ReplyDeleteThe second one is what I'd love to be doing right now...relaxing at a spa somewhere away from arguing children! LOL!
Great job!
