Card Kit Sunday

Hello and a very blessed Sunday to you!
It's been quite some time since my friends, Mary, Sandra and I have posted from one of our card kits, but we're popping in today with just that!

This time around, Sandra prepared a FANTASTIC kit for us filled with beautiful papers from Basic Grey Out of Print, Chichiboulie Fairie image from Stamping Bella (Eloise Greengrass) and a plethora of fun embellishments to choose from.
Normally, we wait with eager anticipation to receive our kits in the mail, but just a few short weeks ago Mary and I got to venture to Sandra's house and get our kits in person! Whenever we get together, it's such a fun time; filled with lots of laughter and inspiration (even if we don't get much sleep)!

I went with a pretty simple layout for my card, because the BG papers are beautifully busy. I decided to take the fun piece of corkboard that Sandra gave us to play with and cut it out using an SU Sizzix die. I thought it would be a fun way to give the flowers more dimension. Eloise is colored in Copics and has a bit of diamond Stickles on her wings. The sentiment is from PTI.

Thanks so much for popping over to spy my card! Please hop on over to Sandra and Mary's blogs too and see how they used all of these same fun elements!

Card Kit

Hello!
Sorry it took me so long to get back you today! BUT I'm finally here to post my card kit card! I was so embarrassed that it was my month to send card kits to my sweet friends, Sandra and Mary and then I wasn't able to have my card ready this morning! Silly Kadie.

My friends, Mary, Sandra and I have been exchanging card kits sporadically for several years now and it's been so fun to work with the same elements and then see how similar or completely different our cards turn out! I think this time around our cards are very different, but all so FUN!

So what did I include in the kit? Papers from MME, TGF (yes old school TGF Sunny Glen paper!) and K&Company. As well as, two random buttons, ribbons from Impress and Amuse, a monogram letter for each of us, jewel dots and several flowers. AND of course this adorable All Star--a la mode stamp from My Favorite Things!! I ADORE these stamps!!

And that's the kit! Thanks for your patience with my card. It just so happens that my tardiness allowed me to use this week's MFT sketch, so I'll be entering my card tomorrow morning as soon as I get a better picture.
Hugs and Happy Wednesday!! Be sure and check out how Mary and Sandra have used this kit!!

Can You Dig It?

Hello Friends! Happy Wednesday!

A couple of us thought we would celebrate making it to the middle of the week, with a little humor! So it's time for another round of cards kits between my good friends Mary, Sandra and I.
Mary sent us this wonderfully fun kit several months ago and I guess we all just had to wait for the right mojo to come to us. :) Actually, truth be told, I needed Mary herself to come visit me IRL to finally inspire my card to come together! Yep, it's true, Mary paid me and The Rainy City a visit this last week and we had an absolute blast! We even had one full day without rain, can you believe it?

Okay, back to my card...
Inside the kit this time, was this super fun stamp from Doodle Factory/Starving Artist...Zed, from the Creatures II line. We also had 4 of the hilarious sentiments to chose from. I couldn't help it...just had to go with the classic nose picking one. :)
The fun papers are from Prima and then we had an array of fun embellishments to play with as well. Oh and I also decided to try out a new wood grain background stamp that I bought at Impress when Mary and I went "sight seeing." :)

And that's my card! I hope you "dig" it! It's so much fun to exchange card kits, because there's always so many different ideas that people come up with. It just amazes me! Please pop over and see how Mary and Sandra have used their kits and thanks SO MUCH for stopping by today!
Hugs,
kadie

Travels, Puddle Jumpers and Card Kits

Happy Thursday to you!!
Today I have something very special to share with you! I recently got back from a little trip to Maryland, where I got to hang with two of my stamping bff's. And one of the things we were MOST excited to do when we all got to be together in the same room, was STAMP together!! There are so many of us stampers out in blogland and on SCS and PaperCraft Planet that don't have any pals to stamp with in or around where we live; so this was a real joy to get to vacation with two of my long time buddies and get to stamp with them as well!

Something that Mary, Sandra and I have been doing for a while now, is exchanging card kits. And this has been our little way of stamping together in the past.
This time though, our kits were hand delivered by the lovely, Sandra and we got to work on them a bit together!
Sandra put together a Fabulous kit and I LOVED working with this adorable Emma Puddler Jumper stamp from Claudia and Company! I also really loved the colors and the textures from the kit...so perfectly matched for this stamp.

Thanks to Sandra and Mary for a really fun and memorable trip. And just to give you a small indication of how silly we all are and the good time we had, Mary took the picture below so that we could have a little contest. Mary has graciously offered to hand out some CANDY to one person from each of our blogs, if they can correctly guess whose feet are whose. Fun times :)
Thanks So much for stopping by today and have fun checking out Mary and Sandra's cards too! Good luck on your guessing (feet can be named #1, 2, 3 clockwise from the top)! I'll give you a hint...one of the feet in this pic does not belong to any of us! teeeeeheeeee

And here are the prizes (you have until Sunday, 9pm EST to guess):

Belle of the Beach

It's card kit time again and I'm extremely late! Shame on me!
As I mentioned yesterday, I had a bit of an overwhelming week and so I really missed the mark on getting today's card up on Thursday (oops!).
BUT I'm here today with my card! Woot Woot!

Several months ago, my dear friends Mary, Sandra and I wanted to find a way to stamp together (because we all live in different states), so the idea to send each other a card kit was born! It's such a neat way to be inspired by one another and to get to work with stamps and materials that some of us don't have in our collections.

This month it was my turn to send out the kit. First I looked through all of my stamps and noticed that many of these fabulous Gorjuss Girls haven't seen much ink! So I chose Little Ducky Gorjuss Girl first and went from there. Next, I looked through my papers and THIS Kaiser Craft Rustic Charm paper jumped out at me. I loved the soft orange and blue together and it really reminded me of the water, rubber duckies and floaties. :) And lastly, I started hunting for complimentary embellishments. I always like to give a variety because embies are like packing for a trip to me...you never know what you're going to feel like wearing on any given day. Picking embellishments always depends on the layout you end up creating, the size of the card, and of course, which papers you've decided to go with. So this time I sent a few ribbon choices, a few buttons, a funky brad or two, some flowers, some jewels, a paper clip and a chipboard flower. I always want to try and use it all, but alas, I still want to create a card that I'm happy with! :) I really wanted to try and use the flowers and/or the chipboard flower for this card too, but as I said, it really depends on the layout and this one was all about the paper! I am really happy with the way the layout turned out though.

And that's my card! Better late than never :) Thanks so much for stopping by to take a look and please, if you haven't already, check out the cards of my stampin buddies, Mary and Sandra too! Hope you're having a great weekend!

March Card Kit

It's Thursday, it's Thursday!!
I don't know why I'm so excited...oh yeah, it's because after a brief pause my friends Mary, Sandra and I are back with our Card Kit Trio! For this month's kit Mary sent us these fun and bright papers to pair up with Kraftin Kimmie's Drucilla! I have been admiring these Kraftin Kimmie stamps all OVER the place and was SOOOOO excited that we got to play with her this month (thank YOU, Mary)!
I have made this card for a very dear, dear friend of mine (even though I'm a little late) and it's crafted with much ♥♥♥
Check out what Sandra and Mary have created using the same supplies!
See you tomorrow for Farm Fresh Friday at TGF!

Tis the Season

Now that Halloween is over I can officially be excited about Christmas. I know that we still have Thanksgiving to look forward to, but the Christmas cups have already come out at Starbucks, so that means the joy of the season and happy people with warm drinks are upon us!

It was my turn to send out card kits this month to my partners in crime, Mary and Sandra, and I decided to send a nonChristmasy stamp with Christmasy patterned paper to see what each of us would come up with.
My little missy is delivering cream cheese gingerbread and nonfat eggnog lattes to her granny :) LOL (SB should pay me). I decided to make this card a little interactive too. I made the image into a bookmark and then added acetate paper to create a translucent pocket. I always wish I had more fun ideas for using acetate paper because I love how things turnout with it!
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you'll go check out Mary and Sandra's creations too! AND if you like Hidden window, tag or other fun project ideas, please check out the ABC challenge site HERE. Thanks, Joni! :)
See you tomorrow for Farm Fresh Friday!

Vintage Thank You

Hello!
Good Monday morning to you! I had a very LONG but exciting weekend. Even though the weekend was long, (but good) I'm looking forward to recovering from it with the upcoming one when we leave for San Francisco on Friday! Woohoo. I can't wait!
How was your weekend?
My card for you today has kind of a vintage feel to it. My friends, Mary, Sandra and I have had a blast the last few months exchanging card kits to see the different takes we have on using the same paper, embies and image. I hadn't seen this adorable Sugar Nellie MacBeth Bunny stamp before but I totally love it. He reminds me of the Velveteen Rabbit (a book I really love). And the papers and embies that Mary included for us to play with were absolutely perfect for MacBeth. I really wanted to try and use all the papers because they were all beautiful! I haven't gotten to use any crocheted pieces before today's card and now I can see why everyone is having so much fun with this embellishment! I have to go find myself some more!
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you'll go check out Mary and Sandra's cards too!

Trick or Treat

I can't believe it's that time again, but yes, Summer is almost over and Fall is right around the corner! That means it's time to showcase Halloween and other Festive Fall cards!

Today's card comes from the monthly card kit challenge with my buddies Mary and Sandra! This month it was Sandra's turn to send the kit out and boy was it a good one! As you can see here the papers and embies are beautiful...and I didn't even use them all, but I wanted toooooo! And this Whipper Snapper image is Adorable!! I wasn't sure what I could do with a mummy at first, but now I'm totally in love with this little guy and this card!

It is SO much fun playing with these kits! Thanks for stopping by today. Tomorrow is Farm Fresh Friday so be sure to check back then too!

Soar High

Hi Again!
I have another card to show you today (I had to run home first). I was lagging behind my crew today. Sandra, Mary and I have started a card kit challenge. Last month Mary sent us a kit and we all posted our cards on the same day, which showcased the same image, paper and embellishments. Well, it's round two and this month was my kit. It was so fun to gather elements to send to my girlies...so much fun I had to stop myself from going overboard! Anyway, here is my little pixie, Heidi and you can find her at All that Scraps. The only thing you can't see very well from my (home) pic is that the wings are covered in Spica and very sparkly. Thanks for joining the 3 of us today and look for us to join forces again the first week of next month!
If you'd like to play along with Mojo Monday 98 too, check it out here! Have fun!

Gone Fishin

I have something totally fun for you today!! A couple friends and I decided to get together (virtually) once a month and create a card using the same elements! This is our first go at it. I know that mine is pretty simple and will probably pale in comparison to the card masters that Sandra and Mary are, but I had fun making it! Perhaps this Chickie was on his way out to go fishing, but since there is an absence of fish in the image, I immediately thought of "missing you" as the sentiment. Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a great week!
