Lift It

Hi Friends!
Happy Monday!

It's time for challenge #196 over at The Pink Elephant and this week it's time to LIFT IT. For this challenge you are to be inspired by someone else's creation and re-create it or CASE it (be sure to give them credit though!).

I have long since been inspired by my teammate, Joni's mastering of the Copic coloring without lines technique. The idea is to stamp your stamp with a very light ink so that no lines show. And then all of your image is entirely color, creating a watercolor effect. I also cased THIS card of Joni's.

I have a long way to go before I've got this technique down. Starting with the fact that I didn't have an inks light enough to not show a few lines. I tried though! The image I used is Isabella, from The Saturated Canary, the paper is from My Mind's Eye, the 'hello' die and Washi are from Impress and the ribbons are PTI and May Arts.

Thanks for popping by! Be sure to go visit The Pink Elephant Blog to see all the wonderful creations.
Have a wonderful day!

Make It Girly

Hi Friends!
Happy Monday!

It's time for challenge #177 over at The Pink Elephant and this week it's time to MAKE IT GIRLY!
The Pink Elephant Blog is being sponsored by The Saturated Canary this week and one blessed participant will win a chance to play with one or more of this doe-eyed beauties!

For my card I've use a stamp called Rose Red. I think all of Krista's images are gorgeous, so it wasn't hard to get inspired. :) I matched Red up with Valentine's papers from Bo Bunny and then threw in a beautiful rose embellishment from kaisercraft, pearls from Prima and ribbon from Offray. Oh, and the sentiment is from Sweet and Sassy Stamps.

Saturated Canary Deconstructed

Hi Friends!
Are you ready for another Deconstructed Sketch Challenge? I have been on pins and needles for this first week of February, because I have been soooo excited to get to work an image from our sponsor this week: The Saturated Canary!
As you will see when you hop along with the Sketch Girls today, Krista Smith, the artist and owner of The Saturated Canary, is wonderfully talented and all of her images are ADORABLE!
And one lucky participant will win a chance to work with Krista's images too! Yay!
As you can see, I flipped the sketch again. I have a knack for doing that. It's usually not intentional, but when I start to work my papers and image, it tends to end up with a flip-a-roo too! :)

The Saturated Canary image that I've used is called "Thank you" and she can be found here in the Krista's shop on Etsy. I would love to tell you about the papers I've used, but I actually got them from this wonderful stack of 6x6 papers I have that are unidentified. :) The sentiment is from SU though and the hearts are Nestabilities.

I hope you will play along with us today. And before I sign off I wanted to mention one more VERY exciting thing!! Our Guest Sketch Girl this month is the AMAZING and lovely AMY SHEFFER!! Welcome, welcome!

Thanks so much for stopping by and Have a FANTASTIC Thursday!
