Those Who Inspire Us

Hello and Happy Sunday!

I was able to spend some much needed time in my crafty space last night and worked on a few cards for some very special people in my life, who are in need of some uplifting happy mail.

Here is one of them and it works perfectly for this week’s Wednesday Challenge over at Simon Says Stamp, “Anything Goes.” There’s nearly 200 entries so far, but it never hurts to throw my hat in the ring when a randomizer is selecting the winner 😊

The motorcycle stamp is one of my fave (retired) stamps from Unity Stamp Co. and the sentiments are from Stampin’ Up (outer) and MFT stamps (inner).

Thanks for taking a look! Be sure to follow me on Instagram @kensley.mymindseyecreations and check out all the other ssswchallenge entries

So Proud of You

Hi Friends!
Hope your day is off to a great start!
Today's challenge over at The Pink Elephant is a GRADUATION theme challenge. All you have to do is use GRADUATION as the inspiration for your card or project and link up to the TPE Blog.

For my card I've used this retired A la mode stamp from My Favorite Things and kept it pretty simple to let the Copics speak for themselves. :)

Thanks for stopping by today and hope you'll join in the fun this week!

October Dueling Darlings

Hi Friends!
I'm here with another round of Dueling Darlings! I'm so sorry to have missed a few months, but I hope to catch up on those real soon.

I'm very happy to be joining in this month on LJ and Terry's, "Eat, Drink and Be Scary" theme. I was SO EXCITED when I spied this lil witchy-poo from MFT because I love Torico's stamps so much!! This cutie is from the MFT set, Witch Way Candy and colored up in Copics.
LJ provided us with such a fun collection of papers and embellishments--one of my fave color combos! The papers and buttons are from Basic Grey, Eerie and the twine is from Doodlebug.

We were also asked to share what one of our favorite treats as a kid was and I would have to say anything chocolate. I would save all my chocolate bars until the end and then I would try and save them as long as I could. Junior Mints have always been my favorite.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will leave some love for all of the Dueling Darling Divas and Dazzlers located on my sidebar!

Girl's Day Out

Hi Friends!
Happy 15th of April!
Today isn't just about taxes, it's also about the Dueling Darlings! On the 15th of every month it's the Divas versus the Dazzlers, as we take on a friendly duel of creativity in which each group gets the same theme but different supplies.

This month my Dazzling partner, April and I decided on Girl's Day Out/Girl's Night Out. I sent the Divas a kit filled with goodies from MFT, Crate Paper & Bo Bunny, Prima and PTI. I can't wait to see what all the ladies came up with for our day-to-night themes!

We also asked the ladies to share a little bit about one of their Besties and what they like to do when they get together. Well, my long time dear friend lives in Siberia...yes, for real! We became friends in college and then after graduation, we BOTH went to Siberia for a year and then she and her husband decided to make it their home. So, with that said, I don't get to see her very often, but when I do, it's always a great time of laughs and reminiscing and picking right back where we left off.

And I also just happen to get to collaborate duels with one of card Besties! Even though April and I have yet to meet in person (it's in the works :), I consider her a close friend and am so blessed that our paths crossed. She is one of the sweetest people I know and she has a great sense of humor too---she always knows how to make me laugh. I love that lady SO MUCH!

Hope you have fun hoppin along and checking out today's Duel!

Fall Football

Hi Friends!
I hope you're having a wonderful Thursday!

I've got another fun card for you using this week's Deconstructed Sketch #114!

For my card I've also incorporated this month's DUEL for Dueling Darlings. Laura Jean sent us this awesome football themed kit and I used as much of it as possible. The stamp is a Pure Innocence stamp from My Favorite Things, colored up with Copics.

We are also supposed to share something we love about fall or a fond fall memory. I love when the weather starts to change. I love the smell in the air and the leaves on the ground. I love when the sweaters come out and it's an any day occasion for picking myself up a hot latte!

Thank you so much for popping by!
I hope you will check out the fabulous creations of the other Deconstructed Sketch Girls! AND check out the Duel with the Darlings too! See you back here next week for Sketch 115!

To Warm Your Heart

Hi Friends!
I hope you're having a SUPER Friday!! Isn't that a given since it's the best day of the week? :)

I have a little card for you today that I was actually supposed to post on Wednesday, but left my camera at home!
This is a card I made for a mystery swap that I'm in. Every few months we have a different hostess and she picks out a stamp for us to work with. For this round, Terry chose for us to use one of my all time FAVE stamps--A la mode Miss You A Latte from MFT stamps.

I wanted to keep my card pretty CAS to let the stamp shine. I used papers from K and Company, a touch of hand stitching and sentiment from Hero Arts, as well as "friend blend" stamp from PTI's Tea for Two Additions.

Thanks so much for stopping by to see my card. Have a WONDERFUL weekend!

I hope that you will join us for sketch 67! This week we are saying goodbye to our sweet friends, Pam and Judy, but we're also overjoyed to be welcoming back Tracey!! Be sure to visit all the Sketch Girls to see how they've used this week's sketch. Have a great day!

From The Heart

Hi Friends!
It's Monday again and you know what that means, another fun challenge over at The Pink Elephant!

The theme for TPE #130 this week is HEARTS. All you have to do is incorporate HEARTS into a card or project and share it with us over at TPE by uploading your project to Mr. Linky.

For my card I've used this super duper cute stamp from MFT, designed by Claire Keay called Heartfelt! I also wanted to try out this awesome stacked heart idea that was shared in this month's PaperCraft Magazine by Betsy Veldman. I've used papers from K & Company, Sweetheart and colored this MFT stamp in Copics. The ribbon is from American Crafts.

Sweet Holiday Wishes

Hi Friends!
Happy Thursday!
Are you ready for another FUN-tabulous Deconstructed Sketch? I know I am! This week we've got #31 in store for you and you're gonna love it! A little bit of square, perhaps a flip-a-roo and plenty of room for your fave immie too!

For my card today, I decided to flip the sketch on it's side, so that I could fit this adorable "a la mode" stamp from My Favorite Things. This is a la mode Candy Cane Kisses and I've paired her with papers from Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses and  Nordic Holiday. She is colored in Copics and dabbed with a touch of Diamond Stickles.

Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to check out how all the Sketch Girls have used sketch 31!

Autumn Is One of MFT!

Hi Friends!
It's Monday and you know what that means...a new challenge over at The Pink Elephant!
This week for TPE#125, we're challenging you to do some EMBOSSING on your card or project. All you have to do is show us some form of the embossing technique (heat emboss or dry emboss) and then upload your project to Mr. Linky.

AND this week we are sponsored by My Favorite Things Stamps so you could win a $25 Gift Certificate to the store and pick out some of these adorable stamps of your very own, just for participating!
For my card I've used both heat and dry emboss. All of my images are heat embossed and that includes the super duper cute a la mode Sweetest Pumpkin in the Patch stamp and sentiment from MFT! And then I embossed PTI patterned paper on the front of the card with the Cuttlebug Pumpkin Harvest emboss folder. I tried to get a few pics up close to show the embossing, but of course the camera is more difficult at catching these details, than the eye can see in person! I colored both of the pumpkins on my card (the one on the front is from the SU Give Thanks Set), using Copics and the ribbon is SU Dusty Durango.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope that you'll join in on the fun this week over at The Pink Elephant Challenge Blog! Be sure and check out all the amazing MFT inspirations that Ella's Girls have for you!
