Those Who Inspire Us

Hello and Happy Sunday!

I was able to spend some much needed time in my crafty space last night and worked on a few cards for some very special people in my life, who are in need of some uplifting happy mail.

Here is one of them and it works perfectly for this week’s Wednesday Challenge over at Simon Says Stamp, “Anything Goes.” There’s nearly 200 entries so far, but it never hurts to throw my hat in the ring when a randomizer is selecting the winner 😊

The motorcycle stamp is one of my fave (retired) stamps from Unity Stamp Co. and the sentiments are from Stampin’ Up (outer) and MFT stamps (inner).

Thanks for taking a look! Be sure to follow me on Instagram @kensley.mymindseyecreations and check out all the other ssswchallenge entries

Eeyore Says

Hello and a happy Saturday to you!

I’ve been trying to drum up some card inspiration this week so that I could join in with the two fun challenges happening over at Simon Says Stamp. While I’m still working on the Foil challenge from Wednesday, here’s my entry for Monday’s Tie it Up theme.

For my card I’ve used this sweet stamp from Unity Stamp Company called Weeds are Flowers, from their Winnie the Pooh line.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look!

Rain or Shine

Hello and welcome to another installment of the Dueling Darlings!

This month our hostess for the Divas is Laura Jean and she sent us this super fun kit filled with one of my fave Unity stamps and papers from Cosmo Cricket. She also sent a super cool little folder that I decided to use for my actual card.

It seems I didn't receive any instructions for this month's challenge, so I just flew by the seat of my pants :) Hope I did this kit and LJ proud!

Thanks so much to LJ and Terry for hosting this month!! Check out what all the rest of the Darlings have created for this Duel!

Mixed Tape

Hi Friends!
I hope you're having a wonderful Thursday!

I've got another fun card for you using this week's Deconstructed Sketch #116!

For my card, I decided to use this fun Unity stamp to go with the awesome CAS sketch that Jen gave us. Of course, you can go as elaborate and ornate as you would like with your card or project, but I chose to keep it simple this week. I've paired the stamp with papers from WeRMemory Keepers and buttons from Basic Grey.

Thank you so much for popping by!
I hope you will check out the fabulous creations of the other Deconstructed Sketch Girls!

Birthday Wishes

Hi Friends!
Happy Monday!

It's time for challenge #193 over at The Pink Elephant and this week were using 3 different patterned papers PLUS our favorite embellishment!

My favorite embellishments are buttons but I decided to incorporate them and my patterned papers a little more subtly into my card this week. I really wanted to use this Unity stamp that I'd bought for my DH and I thought the only way for me to showcase it properly was to do a more CAS card. So I made banners from this new Stampin Up dsp and used a sentiment from Papertrey Ink. I also stamped the stamp on a Washington State map I'd been saving for something special. I thought this would be a cool effect and give this card more of an open road feel--isn't that what motorcycles are about? :) Anyway, hope you like my card today!

There's Nobunny Like You

Hi Friends!
Happy Monday!

It's time for challenge #191 over at The Pink Elephant and this week it's time to get out your Easter stamps!

Normally, I tend to go with cards that are more celebratory of my faith when I create for Easter, but I just received this uber cute stamp from Unity in the mail and decided to ink it up for this week's challenge! I stamped the image on both white and kraft cardstock. Then I cut the bunny out from the white and raised him up with dimensionals on the kraft and distressed the edges. The gingham is from Amuse Studio and the orange is SU Pumpkin. The green ribbon is also Amuse Studio and the button is Basic Grey.

Thanks for popping by! Be sure to go visit The Pink Elephant Blog to see all the wonderful creations.
Have a wonderful day!

Keeping It CAS

Hi There!
How are you on this fine Tuesday?
I hope your day is off to a great start!

I'm back with another fun Challenge for Claudia and Company.
This time Joy has challenged us once again, but this time it's to create Clean And Simple cards. And the DT, has had fun getting to showcase some of the fun Sampler packs for our CAS samples!

As you can see, mine is a bright and spunky shade of fuchsia in the beautiful LUSH collection from My Mind's Eye. I decided to clip off just a smidge of each of the patterns, in order to highlight as many of the papers as I could. I also needed a stamp that would help make those papers pop, so I chose this fun stamp from Unity Company. I stamped the image twice and popped it up on the card, but it's hard to tell from the photo. :) I also added a little coloring to the hearts to match the fuchsia in the papers. And the last thing I did was hand draw a border to close it all in.

I hope you'll join us for this challenge. I can't wait to see what you create! You can find all of the papers I've used (including the cardstock) HERE in the Claudia and Company Store.

**note** while the Unity stamp I've used is an older one and not available in the store, C&Co does have a great selection of other Unity Stamps to choose from!

Be sure and check out what the rest of the DT have to share for Springtime Inspiration today! Thanks again for stopping by!

Monochromatic to the Max

Hiya!
I hope your Tuesday is off to a great start!
I'm back with another fun Challenge for Claudia and Company.

This time Joy has challenged us all to do cards using only one color (or shades of the same color). And the DT all got to play with a different shade of the beautiful LUSH collection from My Mind's Eye.

As you can see, mine is a bright and spunky shade of fuchsia.
I decided to go fairly simple, in order to highlight the papers, so I chose this fun stamp from Unity Company. I've also added just a little flare by using one of the C&Co. Up/Down sentiments for a tag around the jar; brought together with baker's twine and a little crystal charm that I found in my stash.

I hope you'll join us for this challenge. I can't wait to see what you create! You can find all items (except the charm) used on my card HERE in the Claudia and Company Store. **note** while the Unity stamp I've used is an older one and not available in the store, C&Co does have a great selection of other Unity Stamps to choose from!

Be sure and check out what the rest of the DT have to share for Springtime Inspiration today! Thanks again for stopping by!

Team Edward

Good Morning! Happy Wednesday!

My card for you today features Wild Sprout "Flirty" Edward. I don't know if any of you have noticed or not, but some of The Greeting Farm's Wild Sprouts have a little bit of Twilight flare...teehee...of course you've noticed! LOL!
The first Edward Sprout was a little bit more prim and proper; he hadn't met Bella, I mean Camille yet, so he was still hiding out. BUT Flirty Edward is in love and letting his guard down a bit! And this stamp could go either way--with a t-shirt under that jacket or some sparkly bare skin. I also was eagerly anticipating using a couple of these Unity Stamps and finally an idea flashed in my mind for Edward and it all came together!

I don't have cable so I was finally able to sit down for a few minutes and watch bits from the MTV Movie Awards online last night. And what do you know, Twilight (New Moon) was a big winner and talked about quite a bit. And of course "Edward" and "Jacob" and "Bella" were all on the show. And after that I couldn't help be inspired to finish my Flirty Edward card! Huminahuminahumina. LOL (just kidding! I'm happily married here! Plus, RP will always seem like Cedric from Harry Potter to me). But as I do really like the Twi-story, I am looking forward to Eclipse in a couple weeks and I would have to say that I lean more toward team Edward. :)

And that's my card for today! I hope you are having a Wonderful Wednesday!

Roll Call!

Hello and a very Happy Wednesday to you!
It's almost time for The Greeting Farm's long awaited Roll Call set to be released and we're all so excited! For today's preview, there is a BIG prize... since all the Farmers and the Club Anya & Friends DT are posting sneak peeks, we just decided to turn this into a fun, happy lil' hop! And ONE lucky winner will receive ROLL CALL just for hoppin' with our preview cards! Leave a comment on the CA&F blog after you've completed the hop for a chance to win. ONE random winner will be VERY happy tomorrow!

Beginning this Saturday, ROLL CALL will be sold for $48 and includes TEN sprouts plus sentiments. The normal cost of this set would be over $90, so it's a pretty SWEET deal!
ROLL CALL is a large, limited edition set that comes on a 8 1/2 x11 sheet of untrimmed rubber, similar to your regular TGF stamp sets.
And that's not all to look forward to, there will also be NEW digi stamps by artists Jessica Hymas and Marina Neira at the TGF Store on Saturday as well!

For my card today I've used Nahla--the shy Sprout with the sunflower. This was another card I made for the TGF Cares card drive and am hoping that it will brighten someone or some family's day! And perhaps little Nahla will put a smile on your face today too!

And now it's time to HOP HOP HOP! Your next stop is Farmer Kim's blog! If you get lost along the way here is the complete hop order below! Have fun and Good Luck!

Groovy Baby

Hello Again!
Today I'm posting a card from the card making relay that's happening over at The Greeting Farm. It's day 2 today and this is my entry using Wild Sprout Charlotte.
She is such a blast to color up, especially that hair! Can you dig it? :)
I actually did something out of the ordinary for me but it turned out to be super fun...I created the card layout before I had even seen the image! And what do you know, this groovy chick fit into the layout quite well!
There's something else coming up this week that is quite exciting...previews for TGF's February release! The DT will have previews starting the 28th and then the release is on the 1st! Stay tuned!
Until then, I hope you're having a great week!
