I'm not usually a big fan of pastel colors, but I love turquoise of any shade and think it goes great with everything! For my card today I've used papers from Authentique, sequins from Doodlebug, ribbon from SU, sentiment from Amuse Studio and Puddle Jumper Melody stamp new from By LORi Designs.

BLD Blog Hop

That's SO Orange

I'm back with today's challenge #212 over at The Pink Elephant and it's time for another awesome PHOTO INSPIRATION! All you have to do is use the below photo as inspiration for your card are project and submit your link on the TPE BLOG. It was perfect inspiration for me, because I LOVE the color orange.

Actually, funny story---in college I thought I could start my own trend with the word orange. It seemed every day someone was coming up with some new word for "cool," so I decided when I liked something I was going to equate it to my favorite color. Thus, "that's so orange" was born. And it actually caught on for a little bit in my neck of the woods too! :)

Hello, Old Friend!

Hi Friends!
I've got another fun Deconstructed Sketch  for you today! Can you believe we're at 113 already?

This is Puddle Jumper, Lucas, from By LORi Designs and he is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITES. And he is also one of the handful or so BLD stamps that you can buy in rubber so far. He also comes with his little friend baby chick! So pop over to the BLD Facebook page and message LORi to get your very own Lucas in rubbah today (be sure and "like" BLD while you're there too).  :)

I kinda feel like my card turned out a little too busy, but I kept changing my mind with things! Lucas is colored up with Copics and paired with papers from Echo Park Playground. The buttons are Basic Grey and the playing card is My Mind's Eye.

This is Puddle Jumper Sweet Girl and she is colored up in Copics and paired with my interpretation of spring colored papers from My Mind's Eye. The stamp is from Amuse Art Stamps, the buttons are from Basic Grey and there's just a little bit of hand stitching too.

For my card I wanted to get Puddle Jumper Eliza inked up. I've colored this beautiful Pilgrim-esk little lady in Copics and paired her with papers from My Mind's Eye (sentiment from Stampin Up). And I say 'happy pie day,' because who could eat an adorable turkey like that? :)
