Just A Note

(please click on pic for clearer view)

Hello There!
Happy Thursday to You!

Last week was a crazy one and come Thursday it was all a blurr, so it's hard for me to believe it's already Thursday again! But you won't catch me complaining, because I do LOVE Thursdays! It's the day that I get to share another fun Deconstructed Sketch with you!
We're on Sketch 20 now and Jen has given us another FANTASTIC one!
For my card I've used the Gorjuss Girl 'Little Heart' designed by artist Suzanne Woolcott and paired her with My Mind's Eye 'Lost and Found: Sunshine' papers. And then just to add a little flare, I added netting from Webster pages, Ribbon from SU and sentiment from PTI.

Be sure and check out all the AMAZING creations that the rest of the Sketch Girls have for you today and I hope you'll play along with us this week!! You'll be able to find all the DT samples in a special Sunday post on Jen's blog, but until then...have fun hoppin around today to the list below!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Belle of the Beach

It's card kit time again and I'm extremely late! Shame on me!
As I mentioned yesterday, I had a bit of an overwhelming week and so I really missed the mark on getting today's card up on Thursday (oops!).
BUT I'm here today with my card! Woot Woot!

Several months ago, my dear friends Mary, Sandra and I wanted to find a way to stamp together (because we all live in different states), so the idea to send each other a card kit was born! It's such a neat way to be inspired by one another and to get to work with stamps and materials that some of us don't have in our collections.

This month it was my turn to send out the kit. First I looked through all of my stamps and noticed that many of these fabulous Gorjuss Girls haven't seen much ink! So I chose Little Ducky Gorjuss Girl first and went from there. Next, I looked through my papers and THIS Kaiser Craft Rustic Charm paper jumped out at me. I loved the soft orange and blue together and it really reminded me of the water, rubber duckies and floaties. :) And lastly, I started hunting for complimentary embellishments. I always like to give a variety because embies are like packing for a trip to me...you never know what you're going to feel like wearing on any given day. Picking embellishments always depends on the layout you end up creating, the size of the card, and of course, which papers you've decided to go with. So this time I sent a few ribbon choices, a few buttons, a funky brad or two, some flowers, some jewels, a paper clip and a chipboard flower. I always want to try and use it all, but alas, I still want to create a card that I'm happy with! :) I really wanted to try and use the flowers and/or the chipboard flower for this card too, but as I said, it really depends on the layout and this one was all about the paper! I am really happy with the way the layout turned out though.

And that's my card! Better late than never :) Thanks so much for stopping by to take a look and please, if you haven't already, check out the cards of my stampin buddies, Mary and Sandra too! Hope you're having a great weekend!

Gorjuss Fun

Hi Friends! Happy Wednesday!
Okay, so Monday I shared that I recently got a few Copics and have been playing around with them. I still only have a few so my color choices are limited, but it worked out that I had all the right colors to match this Basic Grey Wisteria paper, which I am so in love with! My friend Tammy was so sweet to send me some Sugar Nellie Gorjuss Girl images and then I just had to have more, so I bought the second set. Last night I went to town coloring up these cuties!! I think I may need more Copics...I better start saving my moolah.

The card I have for you today was created using the Spoon Full of Sugar Tuesday sketch 54. I think my card might need something else, but I'm not sure what...another challenge is what I think! Have you checked out Danni's blog this week? She has awesome Flutterby Wednesday's. Thanks to my friend, Carolyn for pointing out that this card fits for Danni's fun challenge too! Who doesn't love butterflies?

Oh and I also couldn't help but include a little pic of a couple more images I colored up. I'm addicted to these Copics, I tell ya!!
Have a FAB day!
