Celebrate In Style

I recently bought a couple adorable stamps from In Style Stamps: an up and coming stamp company. I just love the characters so much and they are well priced too!

Here is a birthday card I made for a dear friend of mine using the Marti stamp. I hope she has a wonderful birthday and knows that she is adorable and so LOVED! Live it up on your bday, Girlie!!

Oh, and for inquiring minds; the PP is Basic Grey, the sentiment is from Gina K (Retro Boutique) and I don't know if you can see it that well, but I used Diamond Stickles on the rim of the glass and on her choker.

Oh, Baby!

It's the beginning of another fast paced week and I hope that I'll be able to fit in some card time and (crossing my fingers) hopefully get back to the Cullen collection.

Here is another card that I made last week for my dear friend, Briana who's baby shower I attended on Saturday. She's having a little girl. Ah, sigh...little girls are so sweet to shop for!!

I apologize for the horrible pictures but I was stranded without a camera and all I had was my phone!! So bad!!

Dear Friend

I'm taking a small break from the Cullen cards to make a few other very important and necessary cards. Here is the first one that I made to encourage a friend that very much needs to be lifted up right now.

I used my beloved Stampin up! DP's that I've been hoarding since the last catty came out. Shame on me! But I'm glad I got to use them for this friend. Hope you all have a great Wednesday and remember to encourage someone in your life today!

I also have been extremely encouraged in my gift of friendship with my SCS gals. I recently received these awards from Carolyn and Susan. Thank you so much for thinking of me, Dearies!

She's Got Spunk and Style

It's Monday morning again! Ah, how the weekend flies by so fast. We had a pretty eventful weekend at my house and in the midst of it all I made sure to make time to work on (drum roll please) Little Alice Anya!

I had a blast altering the Rockstar Anya image that my dear friend, Sandra was gracious to send me. And also going into the Dress Me Anya "closet" and altering some of the clothes to fit Alice's style. I really love how Alice turned out, although I'm sad that you can't see her 3-D hair in the photo (I tried, I really tried) because it's jet black.

I must be honest though and say that while I LOVE how Alice turned out and I love the PP I chose---as soon as I saw it I thought this is spunky and stylish, just like Alice Cullen---when I stepped back from the finished product I was slightly (just a tiny bit) disappointed. I am happy with all the elements (layout, embies, paper, colors) but it looks a bit too Anime to me. Regardless, I hope that it screams Alice and that you knew right away that it was none other than. She tends to stand out from her family anyway as far as style and boldness, so I think it's okay.

The Quiet One

Hi Friends! It's time for another Cullen card. This one is Little Jasper Ian. When I first saw this stamp (The Greeting Farm's, Hello Ian) I thought of Jasper and his background story. I don't know, it may be more appropriate for Carlise, but I really think of Jasper as a gentleman and the strong silent type, which are two things this stamp brought to mind. And I also envisioned him bringing this flower to Alice.
I have tried to tie all the cards together in a couple ways. The first is with distressing. I want the cards to seem from a different time; aged a bit with history, as we know these characters to be. The second is with this misc. stamp that I have sort of envisioned as the Cullen Family Crest. I have tried to incorporate it somewhere in the background of each card. Unfortunately, with today's card I used 3 PP's and 3 textured cardstocks, which left little room for me to include the crest. I decided this time to use it on the inside of the card.
I'm not sure if you can see it very well, but there is a sentiment on the front of this card. Also, I welcome any thoughts toward whether or not I need something else along the edges of the circle that outline the Ian Image.

No card today

...but a quick update. I haven't been home the last two nights even though all my thoughts have been there and continuing this little collection of cards. I can assure you though that Alice and Jasper are in the making. Stay tuned.

Cullen Trading Cards

My Friend Mary suggested that I was making Cullen trading cards and I thought that was pretty funny. I suppose I am and I can't think of a funner way to spend my card making time!
Here is Little Rosalie Anya. I know that Rosalie is supposed to be really hardcore as far as her attitude and interaction with others, but this is how I imagined that she longs to live. In her human years she had wealth and status and longed to be a wife, a mother, and all that went along with that in that day. So with that impression, I created a light card as opposed to a dark card. I struggled with the layout a bit but I was truly delighted in the end. And it gave me the perfect opportunity to use the new Martha Stewart punches I got for Christmas! I have also done the insides of all these cards but this is the first one I remembered to share with you. Edward's card also says "Thinking of You" inside, but Bella's says "All you need is Love." Little Bella Anya

Here is Little Bella Anya. I wished this pic showed the PP from Basic Grey's "Boxer" better. I just adore it! The Full card is a bit washed out due to bad lighting, but then again, Bella is supposed to be pale, right?

Edward's Bella

As mentioned in the previous post, I can't help but see Twilight characters when I look at these Ian and Anya stamps made by The Greeting Farm. So I've decided to try and make the Cullen Family in cards. Here is a sneak of Little Bella Anya. Thanks for looking...hopefully these cards will help feed your Twilight fetish as well. Twilight Inspired

My friend, Sandra recently posted a fantastic card using The Greeting Farm's Hello Ian. In fact, she's been creating adorable cards with their stamps for quite some time now. And as it turns out TGF now has an Ian and Anya set available that is Twilight-esk and feeds my recent quasi-obsession with everything Twilight.

And wouldn't you know, all it took was a little bit of Edward to unleash my mojo.
