Tomorrowland

Hello, Friends! I can't help but be thinking of tomorrow when The Greeting Farm releases it's new sets and...it's my first official day on TGF design team (aka Gardener for Spring)! I'm overjoyed to be part of such a great company and a very talented team. And have you seen the previews of what will be released tomorrow?? If not go here and check it out. Old Faithfuls

My husband calls those clothes that you change into when you get home from work and just want to relax or unwind "old faithfuls." I call them "comfies", but I kinda like "old faithfuls." It reminds me of an old friend...someone you feel like you can be totally yourself with. My first stamps were from Stampin Up! and I have a bunch of them that I hardly visit anymore. But when I do get out those stamps and put some ink to them, it's as if we've never been apart. This set called 'Branch Out' isn't an old one, you can find it in the current catty, but it feels like an old friend or and "old faithful" to me. I love the tree. My whole life I've been surrounded by trees and no matter what season they are in, they are always peaceful and beautiful to me. I adore this stamp set and all it's elements (rubber boots, a bird, a tire swing, butterflies). I'm sure this set will speak home and old friend to me whenever I visit it. Does that sounds silly? :)

A Great Catch

I am SO happy it's Friday! I'm really looking forward to the weekend because I get to spend some time with my DH, some time with friends, babysit some kiddos, relax and of course...get in some stamping time! What are your plans for the weekend?

Today's card uses one of the stamps from TGF's Rock the Farm. I adore this set. I had a lot of fun with this card too. Most of the time I don't watercolor because it takes me longer than using my SU! markers. But I really wanted this card to have a rustic look, as well as have a water/stream feel to it. And so I wanted to show that in the papers and by watercoloring my image. I hope you like this one. I'm going to give it to my friend who loves to go fishing and is currently single...A Great Catch for any of you single ladies! :)

Rockin Rebel

Oh my goodness! Have you seen this card challenge over at Club Anya? What a fun idea and the DT has done an incredible job of providing inspiration for the challenge by showing some of their own creations.
I was working on another card last night when inspiration for this one hit. I had to set everything else aside and just go for it. Can you tell what song it is?? ?
I'm not sure I would consider Robert Palmer a 'Rebel Rockstar' but I just couldn't resist dressing up Rockstar Anya as the red-lipped, guitar playing beauties. And it was SO much fun!
Of course, I can't get this song...Addicted to Love...(that's right, you know it!) out of my head either. Everytime I look at the card it sets off the song again in my head. LOL! I hope you enjoy this card...or at least get a chuckle out of it!

Hiya! First, let me apologize for the horrible photos. I keep my camera at work and over the weekend I made a quick card for my sister to celebrate her getting a second BA. Will You Be My Friend?

Were you ever afraid of Monsters when you were little? Or afraid of the dark? I was afraid of the dark...probably still am a little bit too. LOL. I used to have this drum with Animal from the Muppets on it. It was his face on the front of the drum with that big ole crazy grin of his. Most of the time that drum would sit on the shelf in my closet and if the closet door was open when my mom tucked me in and turned of the lights, there he would be taunting me. There was no way I could sleep with the closet door open! My mom said that when I would play that drum I would beat it so hard; she always thought it was because I was so afraid of Animal! LOL! But I think Animal was actually my favorite Muppet. He wasn't afraid to be himself, even if others thought he was all crazy-like.

Well, this Big Guy is adorable to me. He looks so sweet and friendly, like he just wants a friend. It makes me think of Monster's Inc...he just wants someone to call him "kitty." I had a lot of fun with this and I even got to use my fun flock for the first time! I showed the card to DH last night and he said he liked it but wondered "what's up with the flowers?" I told him I was trying to be ironic. I hope this card makes you fall in love with Monsters...they're not so scary afterall.

It's About Time

For another Twilight character, eh? Ever since I first started posting Anya's and Ian's dressed up as Cullen's, I've had Jacob and Reneesme in the works (I haven't forgotten Carlise or Emmett, either, not to worry). So, in honor of my dear friend, Michelle, who is totally the leader of Team Jacob...here is your "woof" (as she so affectionate calls him)!
Did anyone get to watch the movie on Saturday? I had received an email last week saying that my pre-ordered copy wouldn't arrive until March 25. So imagine my great surprise and delight when I opened my mailbox on Saturday and there it was! Yay! I couldn't resist and had to get my fix later that night. :)

Beach Baby

Wouldn't it be wonderful to be at the beach today...or for the weekend? I wish! It is cold and rainy here in Seattle and more snow is forcasted. Bleh.

Well, it's a good thing then that this month's Sisterhood of the Traveling Cards theme is 'Vacation' because it is helping us all dream of warmer climates and fun times to come (or fun times remembered)! And I couldn't think of a better swap to use my very first Rachelle Anne Miller stamp for! Yay! This cutie beach baby Lily was given to me by my dear friend, Mary and I adore the stamp, but not nearly as much as I adore Ms. Mary!!
For this card I really wanted to use this water background and so I wavered back and forth as to whether I would cut out the image or leave it with a white background. In the end I chose to show more of the water.

Birthday Greetings

I have another birthday card to show you today. This ones comes to you care of Lily from Pink Cat Studio. I have this pack of paper from K & Company that is so wild and vibrant in color. It's as if every time I open the pack of papers a party jumps out and starts dancing about my table! LOL! It's great because it challenges me to use colors that I normally wouldn't go for. There's a lot of color this week! I also did some stitching again on this card. I wanted to emphasize the flowers and create some depth, but I also wanted it to stand on it's own and be different than the first birthday card I posted this week.

It's Wednesday, Yay! It's getting closer to Twilight on Dvd (shhhhhhhh don't tell my DH!!!).

For today's card I channeled a little bit of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream (hence the darker shades for the background). I just LOVE this collection of Fairie's from The Greeting Farm! There's three of them and they are adorable!
