A Festive Holiday

Hello, Friends!
Are you still coming down from yesterday's sugar high? Well, I've got something sweet for you today, because it's Deconstructed Sketch time!
And this week's sketch #76 is another fun one!

Circular cards are not my strong suit, so I decided to construct this sketch inside my beloved four geometric walls. :) For my card I've used this awesome Poinsettia Bouquet stamp from Taylored Expressions and paired it with a mash-up of papers from 3 different paper pads I had lying around. I actually tried mixing and matching so many different combos before I settled on this one, that I don't know where each of the papers came from. Teehee...
The image is colored in Copics and topped with a touch of Diamond Stickles. The twine is from Papertrey Ink.

I hope that you will join us for sketch 76! Be sure to visit all the Sketch Girls to see how they've used this week's sketch! Have a great day!

Hello, Friends!
I'm glad you stopped by today, because it's Deconstructed Sketch time!
And this week's sketch #75 is another fun one!

I know that I've gone super simple this week, but I really wanted to do a card for this being breast cancer awareness month and thought this was a great sketch for what I had in mind. I've used a sentiment stamp from Sweet and Sassy Stamps and pink ribbon stamp from Starving Artist. The paper is from We R Memory Keepers and the ribbon is Amuse Studio.

I hope that you will join us for sketch 75! Be sure to visit all the Sketch Girls to see how they've used this week's sketch! Have a great day!

First Flight

Hello, Friends!
I'm glad you stopped by today, because it's Deconstructed Sketch time! Get ready for another FAB week and this week's sketch #74.
I couldn't resist giving this sketch the ole flip-a-roo again! For my card I chose to work with this stamp from A Day For Daisies called First Flight. I think that is such a perfect name for this image that I decided not to include a sentiment on my card. If you know me, you know I'm not very big on Halloween, mostly because of all the creepy and scary elements that people have embraced. But I am a fan of the Harry Potter books, so maybe these two witchy-poos aren't headed off to cause trouble, but instead is a big Sis teaching a little Sis to fly before she heads off to her first year at Hogwarts. :)
I've paired this stamp with papers from Basic Grey Eerie and Echo Park Paper Chillingsworth and buttons from Kaisercraft.

I hope that you will join us for sketch 74! Be sure to visit all the Sketch Girls to see how they've used this week's sketch! Have a great day!

Happy Thanksgiving

Hi Friends!
I'm back with another fun By LORi Designs card today! LORi has got some SUUUUUUUPER cute Halloween and Thanksgiving images in the BLD shop and they are just waiting to be scooped up and colored!

For my card I decided I was in an early Thanksgiving mood and wanted to get Puddle Jumper Jacob inked up. I've colored the wee Pilgrim lad in Copics and paired him with papers from Fancy Pants Oct. 31.

To Warm Your Heart

Hi Friends!
I hope you're having a SUPER Friday!! Isn't that a given since it's the best day of the week? :)

I have a little card for you today that I was actually supposed to post on Wednesday, but left my camera at home!
This is a card I made for a mystery swap that I'm in. Every few months we have a different hostess and she picks out a stamp for us to work with. For this round, Terry chose for us to use one of my all time FAVE stamps--A la mode Miss You A Latte from MFT stamps.

I wanted to keep my card pretty CAS to let the stamp shine. I used papers from K and Company, a touch of hand stitching and sentiment from Hero Arts, as well as "friend blend" stamp from PTI's Tea for Two Additions.

Thanks so much for stopping by to see my card. Have a WONDERFUL weekend!

BLD is BACK! We took a brief summer break, but now are back and ready to showcase some SUUUUUUUPER cute Halloween and Thanksgiving images that are sure to make you smile like only By LORi Designs can do! :)

For my card I've taken a little inspiration from Toy Story (sans Buzz Lightyear) and joined Puddle Jumper Little Big Storm and PJ Cowboy McCoy to create a card for a couple of best buds. I've colored both images in Copics and paired them with papers from Cosmo Cricket Wanted.
