Are You Ready to Rock?

Because it's RELEASE DAY at The Greeting Farm and we've got some awesome new stamps and a ROCKIN' Fun contest for you!!
The TGF blog, as well as the Club Anya & Friends blog have been previewing all the awesome new stamps this past week and they include: The Grandparents Set, Creeper Thursday, Fleur Anya and Cuddle Anya. And today you can get your hands on them! Check out the TGF blog for all the details...and see some more awesome samples.
My Release Day sample for you today is of Dear Old Grandpa from the Grandparents set.
He's so cute; I just want to pinch his cheeks.
I was also inspired by this layout that I kept seeing pop up this week and it is from Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge 66.

In addition to release day samples going on at the TGF blog and new stamps in the store, Club Anya & Friends have a NEW CONTEST UP and you're going to LOVE IT! It's round 2 of the Rockin' Rebel Contest!!! Go check out the blog to see how you can play and while you're there check out the FANTASTIC Rockin' DT Creations!!

I've created one too! The first time The Greeting Farm had the Rockin' Rebel contest, I decided to get "Simply Irresistable" and use Anya and Ian to recreate that legendary Robert Palmer video. Fun times!
This time though, the RR contest couldn't have come at a better time, because I'd already been working on something super fun! Ever since two things happened simultaneously----I saw this Unity "Glee" sentiment on my friend, Catherine's blog (and she was so sweet to let me borrow it!) and I came to the realization that Wild Sprout Ruby looked JUST LIKE the character Emma Pilsbury from the tv show "Glee," it has been my mission to try and create a "Glee" inspired card! And I totally think that show is Rockin,' soooooo I'm posting my creation today, in honor of the Rockin' Rebel contest! I hope you like it! I chose to do Will and Emma, but if anyone can come up with Mercedes and Kurt, I'd be so giddy with ummmm...GLEE!!! LOL!

Okay, enough talk, THANKS for stopping by and I hope you will have a blast playing along with this DT and customer favorite contest!! Have a wonderful May Day!!

Thursday for Friday

Are you thoroughly confused by my title? Remember the Creepers that Marie gave us a sneak peek of on the TGF blog a short while ago? Well, one of them is going to be released on May 1st and her name is Thursday!! I'm so so excited about these stamps (well, let's face it, I'm always excited about the new stamps) because they are sooooo cool, fresh, hip, and a change of pace, ya know?
So with that said, I'll also say Happy Friday!!

For this week's TGF Farm Fresh Friday the challenge is to use the above picture as inspiration. I'd say that's quite the boudoir! I think four poster beds are so elegant. I hope you'll be inspired by this pic too and join us for the challenge this week.
Be sure to stop by The Greeting Farm blog and check out the AMAZING samples by all the DT!
AND tomorrow is Release Day so please check back to see another sneakie peek. :)
See ya!

Grandma and Grandpa

Hello there!
I hope this post finds you doing well on this last Thursday in April. Today is the start of our May sneak peeks at The Greeting Farm! AND since it's also Thursday scrap layout day at TGF, I thought I'd combine the sweet sneak peek of the Grandparents stamp set with the scrap sketch challenge!
The Grandma and Grandpa set, which includes several sentiments and the flower box (shown here) will be available on MAY 1st at The Greeting Farm.
For inquiring minds, yes, this is a picture of my cutie pie grandparents! This picture was taking at my little sister's wedding this fall and I love how if you look closely you can see that they're holding hands. They've been married over 60 yrs and still holding hands...I LOVE it! :)
I hope you have a superb Thursday and I'll be back tomorrow with another TGF sneak peek.
Be sure and stop by the TGF blog to see what else the DT has cooked up today! AND as we bid a fond farewell to Farmer Cheryl, we welcome Mercy Kerin to the Farmer team!

Congrats, Girlies! Please email me at kadieensley at yahoo dot com with your mailing addy.
And thanks SOOOO much to EVERYONE for your comments and support. I hope you'll all stick around too because I love to do blog candy and you never know when the next one will pop up! :)

SOooooooooo, many of you probably know there's this thing over at The Greeting Farm that's been going on called The TGF Royal Battle. It a customer contest and we've seen the most AMAZING, outstanding projects! The DT was told we could play along for fun if we wanted to, so Sparkle, Kim, Mary, Sandra and I formed a little team called the Holaback girls and we've been having a blast creating alongside everyone. This week it's getting down to the wire and customer competition and TALENT are totally Fierce!

The challenge this week was to use Traci Porter's his and her bookmarks as inspiration and create a His and Her project of your own. So, for mine I couldn't help but think of the division in interests between my sweet DH and I. If I had my choice all of my spare change would go to STAMPING and all of his would certainly go for a Harley Davidson. So I created His and Her savings jars...but as you can see...mine is doing a little better than his. LOL! He, of course, didn't think the display of unbalanced funds was as hilarious as I did. Awwww, well. :)

So, I have a question...what's your His and Hers jar? Or maybe it's a combined jar...something you're saving up together for? I'd love to hear!

AND I wanted to remind everyone that this is the last week to get your TGF CARES projects finished up and in the mail. It's such a great cause and I hope that you will consider participating! Pop over to the TGF blog for all the details.

Hope you all have a GREAT day!!

♥ the Earth

Hello, Friends!
Thanks for joining me on this Fine Friday! I'm back with another Farm Fresh Friday challenge from The Greeting Farm. And this week the challenge is "Going Green" in honor of Earth Day. That means you can use green literally, use recycled product, use live foliage, haha, whatever Green means to you!
For my card I'm celebrating Anya's inner environmentalist by using the color green, using one of the billion coffee sleeves from Starbucks I have saved and by showing that Anya loves being "green" just as much as anyone--she's sporting her I ♥ My Prius t-shirt. LOL! As I was making this card my husband came up to me and said, "wow, they really DO make a stamp for everything." I just laughed and then replied, "no, silly, I changed Stamping Anya's shirt to say that." haha
I hope you'll play along with us for this fun and environmentally friendly challenge. :)
Have a great weekend!
OH and before I go...WINNERS for my blog candy will be announced on MONDAY!! The response has been HUGE and I want to thank Everyone SO MUCH!

My Handy Man

Good Morning!
Today I have a tale of two Ians for you! Haha.
I started working with Handy Ian (from The Greeting Farm!) last night and upon finishing the coloring, I had a whim to give him a five o'clock shadow. But then I couldn't decide if I liked it or not. AND then...as I stared more and more I convinced myself the facial hair looked more and more like a disease rather than a bit of stubble. Ha! We're so hard on ourselves, aren't we! So, voila...I made two Ians. I think in the end I am more fond of the clean shaven Ian, so I'm glad that I second guessed myself. But just for kicks, I've also posted manly man Ian too. :)

I hope you have a WONDERFUL day today! I'll be back Thursday with a new Busy Beauties Challenge and I'll hope you'll join me for that!

Deets:
Stamps: The Greeting Farm Handy Ian
Paper: Cosmo Cricket Lil Man, Boyfriend, SU Real Red, Dusty Durango, Mat Stack Brights

Using the Sketch Literally

Hello Everyone!
First off I just wanted to say how exciting it is that I'm meeting new people through the blog candy I'm offering. I truly appreciate all the comments and read them all. And while it's harder for me to visit every blog from the Candy drawing, I will try and visit all of you who leave comments on my cards. Thank you SO much!

AND now...for today's card!! It's Friday, so that means it's another Farm Fresh Friday challenge over at The Greeting Farm! Every Friday there is a challenge for customers to play in (and possibly win a prize). Some weeks it's a color challenge, some week's an inspiration or a theme and sometimes, like today, it's a FUN Sketch challenge!!
This week Farmer Mary has provided us with the sketch and if you've been over at the TGF blog already this morning and spied all the DT samples, then you'll notice that I literally USED this sketch! LOL! I just couldn't resist because Mary did such a fabulous job of shading the different elements in beautiful earth tones. I couldn't help but be inspired!
Wild Sprout DeeDee is the featured stamp on my card and my absolute favorite part of her to color is her HAIR! Such fun hair. Her outfit is adorable too! Okay, she's just plain ADORABLE altogether.

I do apologize for the lighting. My good camera is at work and for some reason I have a harder time with the lighting at my house than at work. So for that reason it may be harder to read the sentiment "hugs," which is from the O&A Buddies set (also TGF). There are a few more pics that I've added below. One shows that I layered up the sketch to give it dimension and add the stitching and another is a little bit clearer sentiment. :)

And that's what's going on over here on this FAB Friday!
I hope you all have a GREAT weekend!

TGF Gets Scrappin

Hi!
Happy tax day! LOL!

Today I'm back with a really fun card. Did you know The Greeting Farm is starting to carry rubber scrapbook kits? They have been slowly getting their feet wet starting off with digi scrap kits and DT and now they're jumping in full force with the first ever rubber scrapbook kit and scrap page DT (with weekly challenges)!
I was lucky enough to get the Spotlight scrap kit in the preview sale and was beyond excited when it arrived in my mailbox last week! And as you can see, I've used my scrap set to make a card. For me there is really no separating the scrap vs the card supplies...I love it all and will use it ALL for either purpose!

The Spotlight scrap kit is available TODAY in the store, as well as a handful of AWESOME new Critter images. Be sure to stop by The Greeting Farm Blog to check out the AMAZING samples!! AND be ready to get your Scrap On because today is the FIRST scrapbook challenge!

I'll see you back here tomorrow with another Farm Fresh Friday! Until then, have a great day!

Small Wonder

Hiya! Happy Hump Day! I'm soooo glad it's Wednesday. I like Wednesdays because they lead to Thursdays and then to Fridays :) Did anyone catch Glee last night? I'm so excited that it's back on! I love all the music. I even have the music programed into my phone! Love it!

My card today is one that I sent out to a sweet gal I know, to celebrate a "small wonder." I've used this layout before, I know, but it's because I find that it's perfect for combining several pieces of patterned paper when I just can't seem to make up my mind! :) For this card I've only used one stamp (can you believe it?!) and it's the sentiment. The sweet little zebra is a sticker from Sandylion. I still haven't dug out my sewing machine from the garage, so all the stitching is done by hand. And that's today's card!

I hope your Wednesday is very very happy!

Howdy!

Hello and Happy Tuesday!
I'm sorry I didn't have a new card for you yesterday but I wanted to give the Dear Queen another day for your viewing pleasure since she popped up during the weekend. :)

My card for you today though, features this adorable little tomboy, Audrey! Audrey is from the Wild Sprout collection at The Greeting Farm and she was a sweet and generous gift from TGF's owner (and artist) to all the friends of the farm back in March. If you happened to miss Audrey on the blog, she's now available to purchase in the digi store.

Once again, I pulled out my Cosmo Cricket papers and had a blast creating a fun layout for Audrey. I love that she's sticking her tongue out, so instantly I thought of goofing off...and a kid who's goofing off would definitely be making paper airplanes and playing it cool.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Stamps: The Greeting Farm Wild Sprout Audrey digi

Spring Cleaning

Hi Friends! It's Friday again!

We're cleaning house for today's Farm Fresh Friday by doing some Spring Cleaning with our stamping supplies! Some of us have gone through our stashes and found things we forgot that we had and others have combed through and revived what otherwise would have been on it's way to the trash bin.
For my card I have done both! I dug through my drawer and found a 6x6 pad of Earth Love paper that I'd never dug into (I'll admit...I was hoarding) and then I went through my scraps to find pieces that I normally would have thrown out because they were too small.
I also couldn't help but use the Hope and Grace Laundry stamp because it just seemed so fitting for 'spring cleaning'!
For my layout I got the inspiration for the laundry line from a sweet card made by Kristina Werner in which she used paper scraps for flags.
I hope you will play along with us over at TGF and discover what's hiding in your stash! Be sure to check out the fabulous creations by all The Greeting Farm's DT!
Have a fantastic weekend!

Stamps: The Greeting Farm HG Laundry, Fly Away sentiment
Paper: Cosmo Cricket Earth Love, Papertrey Ink Bitty Box Basics and Blossoms, Certainly Celery, Groovy Guava, Kraft

My Buddy

"My Buddy, My Buddy...wherever I go, he goes. My Buddy, My Buddy...my buddy and Me!"

Good Morning, Friends! Happy Thursday to you! I couldn't help but start off with that catchy little tune from the My Buddy (an 80's toy) advertisement! Ohhhh and then shortly after My Buddy came out, Kid Sister was also flying off the shelves (and the tune continued to be stuck in our heads)! Can I just say...I LOVE the 80's. I can't help it. Even though those were wild and crazy times (so I've heard), I had a blast growing up in the time of Cabbage Patch Kids, Stirrup leggins, Get in Shape Girl leg warmers, side ponytails, jelly bracelets, Debbie Gibson and Kids Incorporated (because I wasn't allowed to watch MTV when it first started). Good times!

Okay, but my card truly has nothing to do with the 80's...the whole buddy theme had me off on a tangent! :)
My card for you today features Amelia in the new 'Buddies' Oliver and Amelia set, released this month at The Greeting Farm. I just love this stamp! I had a kitty growing up and I cuddled him and carried him around just like little Amelia here.
For the layout of my card, I was inspired by this week's Mojo Monday sketch #133. Fun Fun Fun!

I also decided to go with the Cosmo Cricket papers again...I couldn't help it! You'll see them again tomorrow too for my Farm Fresh Friday card. *grin*

I hope you have a terrific Thursday and I'll see you back here tomorrow! And I'll see you on Saturday too for the Busy Beauties Release!

Anything is Possible

Hiya! Happy Wednesday to You!

I'm here with a card for you today that I had a TON of FUN making! I don't know what it is about Cosmo Cricket papers (je ne sais quoi, I suppose!) but whenever I sit down to use them for a project...the project takes on a life of it's own and I'm always happy with the result...magical papers!! :)
So, I sat down with my CC papers (my fave line Early Bird) and what do you know...DeeDee Wild Sprout wandered over, begging to join the party! And since it was a party, what's a party without balloons? So we had to have a few of those too! I mean really, 'anything is possible', right?
Can you tell I had fun with this or is it strikingly apparent that I'm still experiencing the effects of being at home sick yesterday, LOL!
Regardless, thanks for humoring me and I hope you enjoy viewing this card as much as I did creating it!
Hugs and happy Wednesday!
kadie

P.S. There's something EXTRA EXTRA exciting going on at the Busy Beauties Boutique this week...NEW RELEASES...so be sure to stop back on SATURDAY!

Stamps: The Greeting Farm, Wild Sprout DeeDee, Fly Away balloons and sentiment

Little Green Creatures

Hello Friends!
I wish I had a fun story or two to tell today, but alas, I am lacking in tales...so instead I'll just jump right into the card! :)
The theme for our monthly swap group (The Sisterhood of the Traveling Cards) in March was to make a card using a little green creature. Such a very cute and fun theme, hosted by our Sweet Susan2 (as we affectionately call her because we have more than one Susan)! So, I dug through my stamps and found this adorable froggie from TGF's 'Down by the Pond set'. This set holds a very special place in my heart because it is from the very first month I started as a Gardener at The Greeting Farm!
I decided to do a pretty simple card in order to make Mr. Froggie the focus, but I also wanted to use bright and bold colors to make sure the sentiment truly fit and he was indeed bringing a happy, SMILEY greeting!
I can't wait to see all the other little green creatures that our group came up with! Frogs and Crocs and Dragons--Oh My!
Hope you have a Wonderful day!

TGF in the Spotlight

Good Morning!
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

Last week I snuck in a little blurb about The Greeting Farm being Featured this month in ScrapStreet Magazine (online) but today I wanted to give that more of a spotlight...because it's SOOO darn exciting!!
I am over the moon thrilled that TGF was showcased and that I had the priviledge of getting to submit something for the occassion. It's my very first publication! Woot woot!
Here is the link so you can check things out for yourself and above is the card I made for my submission.
Thank you for supporting TGF and the team! I am so so thankful each and every day for the friendships, encouragement and JOY that comes along with this craft!

Wishing you ALL Major Mojo and many Blessings,
kadie

You're Super Amazing!

Wowsers, it's Friday again!! Time certainly flies when you're having fun stamping **big grin**
And let's see...Friday means another Farm Fresh Friday Challenge with The Greeting Farm! Hooray!
And since this is Release Week over at TGF, I get to use another cutie patootie April stamp! This is Wild Sprout Eric...and when lil Eric uses his blankie as a cape---he becomes a SUPER HERO!! I can relate...magically things happen when I put on my blankie-cape too! :)

This week's Farm Fresh Friday Challenge is to use an uber FUN sketch designed for us by the lovely, Cindy Haffner! Thanks, Cindy! I really love the circle with the squares behind it for this sketch. I don't know why but I really enjoy differing shapes playing off one another. So fun! I hope you'll play along!!
