Vintage Thank You

Hello!
Good Monday morning to you! I had a very LONG but exciting weekend. Even though the weekend was long, (but good) I'm looking forward to recovering from it with the upcoming one when we leave for San Francisco on Friday! Woohoo. I can't wait!
How was your weekend?
My card for you today has kind of a vintage feel to it. My friends, Mary, Sandra and I have had a blast the last few months exchanging card kits to see the different takes we have on using the same paper, embies and image. I hadn't seen this adorable Sugar Nellie MacBeth Bunny stamp before but I totally love it. He reminds me of the Velveteen Rabbit (a book I really love). And the papers and embies that Mary included for us to play with were absolutely perfect for MacBeth. I really wanted to try and use all the papers because they were all beautiful! I haven't gotten to use any crocheted pieces before today's card and now I can see why everyone is having so much fun with this embellishment! I have to go find myself some more!
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you'll go check out Mary and Sandra's cards too!

You're Absolutely Fabulous

Hello My Dear Friends!
I'm back as promised and today I have a card that I made to let a special someone know that she is being thought of and prayed for. I got this fabulous Diane Duda stamp several months ago and have had this image colored up for a while but it's just been waiting for the right time to jump onto a card. And today's the day! The embossing is a tad hard to read because the stamp writing is so fine, but the sentiment reads, "In good times or bad, You're absolutely fabulous." I think that's true for all of you! You're all wonderfully beautiful women, don't let anyone tell you any differently. :) Have a SUPERB Tuesday!

Stamps:
Sugar Nellie, Diane Duda Curtsy, SU! Absolutely Fabulous Sentiment

Thinking of You

Hellooooooo and happy Thursday!

Today's card was meant to follow a sketch that I had printed off my computer and have been contemplating...but then I started to deviate. And when I went back to add the elements the sketch called for, I was already in love with this layout too much to comprimise.
For this card I used Day Dreamer from my set of Sugar Nellie Leanne Ellis stamps. This is very much how I grew up...always a dreamer...always thinking of the world outside my window and very curious about how people think, feel and differ from one another. I love this cutie patootie image. Oh and if you're curious as to whether or not I overdid it with the distress ink...nope, none, the patterned paper comes distressed already. :) Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps:
Sugar Nellie, Leanne Ellis Day Dreamer, Amuse sentiment
Paper: Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday-Tuesday, Whisper White
Ink: Copics, Not Quite Navy, Momento Black

Gorjuss Fun

Hi Friends! Happy Wednesday!
Okay, so Monday I shared that I recently got a few Copics and have been playing around with them. I still only have a few so my color choices are limited, but it worked out that I had all the right colors to match this Basic Grey Wisteria paper, which I am so in love with! My friend Tammy was so sweet to send me some Sugar Nellie Gorjuss Girl images and then I just had to have more, so I bought the second set. Last night I went to town coloring up these cuties!! I think I may need more Copics...I better start saving my moolah.

The card I have for you today was created using the Spoon Full of Sugar Tuesday sketch 54. I think my card might need something else, but I'm not sure what...another challenge is what I think! Have you checked out Danni's blog this week? She has awesome Flutterby Wednesday's. Thanks to my friend, Carolyn for pointing out that this card fits for Danni's fun challenge too! Who doesn't love butterflies?

Oh and I also couldn't help but include a little pic of a couple more images I colored up. I'm addicted to these Copics, I tell ya!!
Have a FAB day!

Plop Plop Fizz Fizz

Hiya! First, let me apologize for the horrible photos. I keep my camera at work and over the weekend I made a quick card for my sister to celebrate her getting a second BA. I didn't think I would end up liking it SO much and then, of course, I didn't have my camera. And so, another camera phone shot and this one is not so great. Sorry! But at least you get the idea. Happy Wednesday!

A Special Day

Hello and Happy Monday! I had a very relaxing weekend, complete with lots of card making time. I'm excited to show you some of those cards this week. I'm especially excited to show you today's card that was inspired by a dear friend of mine who isn't afraid to use color. I chose the stamp first, Leanne Ellis's "Blossom" (you might remember her from last week) and then I just had to use this adorable paper from K & Company (I think it has whales on it)! After that, I just let the colors do their thing. Thanks for stopping by and don't be shy, no comment is unwelcome!

Tell People That You Care

Good Morning (or good afternoon or evening)! I hope that you all are having a fine start to your week.
'Tell People That You Care' is my theme for today and I can't think of a person who embodies this more than my friend, Kelly. She really knows how to show and tell people that they matter and are cared for. If there's every anything going on with one of us in our little group of friends she is one of the first to send an email or drop a little encouragement into the mail. I am amazed and so grateful that our paths crossed. And I'm so blessed to call her my friend.
So, with all that said...I received a little surprise in my mailbox on Friday from Kelly. This phrase written by Susan Kantor is a handmade stamp that is only available at Kelly's LSS. I thought that was pretty cool and I am excited that I get to own one! And I couldn't agree more with that little saying. Thanks, Kel!!
Hugs,
Kadie
