Psalm 96:12

Hello there!

My card for you today was inspired by two challenges, Splitcoast Stampers SC1005 and Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge, Spring Flowers.

For this card I’ve used stamps and dies from Papertrey Ink, Vase Collection 15 and Psalm Reflections 96:12.

Inks are from Concord & 9th and patterned papers from Authentique.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look!

Knit with Care

Hi Friends!

I’m back with another fun card using dies and paper from Concord & 9th.
I’m about a week behind in the sketches on Splitcoast Stampers, but this card was inspired by SC1004. Pop on over to SCS and check out all the great inspiration!

My Favorite Princess

Hi There!

I’m here with a card I’ve been thinking up for awhile now, as a fun way to use my favorite princess stamp from The Sassy Club!

I wanted to use these hot foil stars from Spellbinders to create a cascading night look for the fairies to be floating down toward their princess. I think it works! It makes for a very tall card though, so it’s hard to fit it all in.

I’ve also ran some gold thread lines up the sides to frame the scene and backed the frame with sparkly gold paper from Simon Says Stamp. It’s hard to tell in the picture, but the color inside the clouds is gold sparkle pen (it appears yellow in the photo). Sentiment is from another set at The Sassy Club as well.

Thanks for popping in for a look! Have a great day!

Big Thanks

Hello and happy Tuesday to you!

I’m back with a card I’ve made for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge, “Anything Goes.”

I’ve had this digital stamp from Sweet November Stamps colored up (using Copics) for a while now and just waiting for the right card inspiration. He is called, Thankful Cutie Boy (and he certainly is!). I love all of Amy’s cuties, but this one reminded me especially of my sweet son, so it warms my heart extra!

I’ve also paired him with die cuts from MFT stamps and patterned paper from Doodlebug Design.

Out of this World

Happy Tuesday, Friends!

I recently got a bundle of fun new stamps from Scrappy Boy Stamps that are in the likeness of some of my fave things in pop culture. So I had some time to get inky last night and started with Future Family.

I’ve also paired this stamp set with the classic tv die cut from MFT Stamps. I spied that Scrappy Boy Stamps also has an awesome tv die in their shop, but since I already had this one I spent my coins on another Scrappy Boy stamp set instead (more cuteness coming soon).

Future brother and sister are colored up with Copics and the papers are some “retro” aka retired patterned paper from Cosmo Cricket.

Care Bear Stare

Hiya!

I’m back with a card that makes me so happy - - thinking about growing up when Care Bears first came into the world! I looooved Care Bears (and still do) so I was thrilled to find these cuties over at The Sassy Club that are reminiscent of the iconic friends in Care-a-lot; a stamp set called Eighties Bears. I could have colored them up in many different combinations, but for this first time getting inky with them, I chose my 4 childhood favorites.

I’ve also used this really cool rainbow die cut from Picket Fence Studios.

Spring Thanks

Hi All,

I’ve been itching all week to get into my crafty space and work with sketch 1002 over at Splitcoast Stampers, as well as create a submission for the Wednesday Spring challenge at Simon Says Stamp.

I’ve been anxiously waiting for the right inspiration to hit to work with these new dies, stamps and colors recently released from Concord & 9th.

My card is not an exact match to the sketch but I hope you can see it was inspired.

Let’s Party

Hi All!

I hope you’ve had a great week! I’ve been working on this fun birthday card for the Lawn Fawn All Things Birthday challenge. I really wanted to try my hand at the “Give it a Whirl” die set again. I think these interactive cards are so much fun!

Here is my finished card using ‘Hang in There’ sloth set and sentiment, plus party hats and streamers from ‘Party Animal.’

Here is the spin halfway

Bethany’s Card

Howdy Friends!

I can finally share with you the card I made for my niece’s birthday, now that it has been gifted to her! I could not believe how much this stamp Dale by artist Mo Manning for Mo’s Digital Pencil looks like my sweet niece! And then even more, I found this rustic farmlike patterned paper which said ‘60% sweet 40% sassy’ and that is also spot on! heehee

I’ve colored this cutie up with Copic markers and added a little bit of sparkle in a few subtle places.

Thanks for taking a look! Be sure to follow me over on Instagram @ kensley.mymindseyecreations

See ya soon!

Beautiful Friend

Hello Beautiful Friends!

I’m back with another new card and this one just happens to have a bit of green, making it perfect to meet the criteria for this Monday’s Simon Says Stamp Challenge.

For my card I’ve used stamps and stencil from Concord & 9th. The flower is shaded using Tim Holtz Ranger distress ink. The sentiment is from Spellbinders and is heat embossed in gold.

Big Hugs

Hello there! I feel like I’ve been doing a lot of green cards lately, so I apologize if this month seems monochromatic, but I have also loved where all the inspiration has come from!

My card for today uses sketch challenge number 1000 (!) over at Splitcoast Stampers. WOW they have been inspiring us with sketches for a looooong time over there! Please check out all the lovely creations made with Jeanette’s sketch.

For my card I’ve used all Concord & 9th from their February release.

Thanks for taking a look. Please also follow me on Instagram and I will follow you back @kensley.mymindseyecreations

Lucky to have You

Hello! Hope you’re having a great week and that March is treating you well. I actually can’t believe it’s March already! But here we are 😊

For today’s card I was dying to try out this brand new ‘Give it a Whirl’ die set from Lawn Fawn to create an active card. Who doesn’t love a good REVEAL. So I decided to inaugurate this die set by making a card for the Wednesday Simon Says Stamp Challenge, ‘add a sentiment.’  (oh and please avoid the zoom in — the glue it’s still drying! haha)

I’ve also used clover dies and sentiment stamp from Lawn Fawn as well. Shading is with Ranger distress inks and sentiment heat embossed.

I was so close to making a birthday card instead, and that would have been perfect for the current Lawnfanatics challenge…but that just means I need to make another card with this extra fun Give it a Whirl die set!

Have a great rest of your week!

Those Who Inspire Us

Hello and Happy Sunday!

I was able to spend some much needed time in my crafty space last night and worked on a few cards for some very special people in my life, who are in need of some uplifting happy mail.

Here is one of them and it works perfectly for this week’s Wednesday Challenge over at Simon Says Stamp, “Anything Goes.” There’s nearly 200 entries so far, but it never hurts to throw my hat in the ring when a randomizer is selecting the winner 😊

The motorcycle stamp is one of my fave (retired) stamps from Unity Stamp Co. and the sentiments are from Stampin’ Up (outer) and MFT stamps (inner).

Thanks for taking a look! Be sure to follow me on Instagram @kensley.mymindseyecreations and check out all the other ssswchallenge entries

Wish Big

Hi Friends!

This week was a blur. So many things keeping me from my creative space. I did find some time though to work with this week’s Wednesday sketch challenge 999 over at Splitcoast Stampers.

Here is my card using Kim’s sketch and stamp from Purple Onion Designs, Mr. Corgi and Balloons

I’ve had this image colored up for a few weeks now, but was just waiting for the right layout to inspire me. I hope you like it!

Be sure to give me a follow on instagram @kensley.mymindseyecreations and I will follow you back!

Don’t keep it boxed up

Hellooooo and Happy Thursday!

I’m playing along with this week’s sketch challenge again over at Splitcoast Stampers. I’ve been so excited to use this die set from Spellbinders but haven’t been able to figure out how to use it on a project yet. Marion’s sketch offered such a great layout to display the box and balloon with panels!  The die sets from Spellbinders are Surprise Box and Colored Blocked Balloons. The sentiment is from a retired set from Unity Stamps Co. called Empowered Words.

Thanks for taking a look! Be sure to check out the other awesome cards at SCS using the below sketch!

Have a Brite Day

Hello to you on this beautiful Tuesday!

I had a lot of fun this weekend coloring up images and trying to think up some fun layouts to present them with. This adorable stamp from The Sassy Club, called Sunshine Girl, has been on my list to get colored and shared. And since we are both children of the 80’s, my little Sister’s birthday is the perfect card to display her on!

For the rainbow I’ve used a die cut from Honey Bee Stamps. The stars are also from that die set as well, and then sprinkled with Stickles.

Have a Brite Day!

First Foil Card

It’s Sunday and I’m back with the card I’ve been stewing over for this week’s Wednesday Challenge over at Simon Says Stamp. The challenge is foil cards and while I’ve long admired this technique and have even had my very own Glimmer hot foil machine for months and months now, I still hadn’t been successful in my attempts at foiling. But thanks to a few helpful hints on YouTube, I gave it another try and here it is, my very first Foil card!

For this card I’ve used the Spellbinders Tulip and Frame sets and attempted to water color it. I have to say, since I’m quite comfortable with my Copics, it’s a real learning curve for me to get the outcome I have in my head using other mediums. I’m also quite the perfectionist, so I’ve sat with this one all week, tweaking and messing with, and doubting it. I’ll get better though, I just need more practice.

Thanks for taking a look! I welcome any hints on how to keep your hot plate from moving and double imprinting after you place your foil, paper and plates and then move it to the press.

Eeyore Says

Hello and a happy Saturday to you!

I’ve been trying to drum up some card inspiration this week so that I could join in with the two fun challenges happening over at Simon Says Stamp. While I’m still working on the Foil challenge from Wednesday, here’s my entry for Monday’s Tie it Up theme.

For my card I’ve used this sweet stamp from Unity Stamp Company called Weeds are Flowers, from their Winnie the Pooh line.

Valentines for our Valentine

Well hello there and Happy day of Love to you!

If you’re like me, you’ve been happily crafting some Valentines for the Valentines in your life and maybe even some for your Galentines. 😊

My son and I worked on some cards together for his Dad (also known as my Hubs). We had the best time thinking up what would go onto his card. He LOVES this Dungeon Squad stamp set from The Sassy Club and was very excited to color up this stamp that’s reminiscent of one of his favorite characters.

For my card, I’ve also used a stamp from The Sassy Club and it is in the likeness of one of my childhood favorites as well! He’s from the Hog N Friends set.

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek. If you prefer Instagram you can also find me over there under kensley.mymindseyecreations

Would love to have you follow my new page there and I’ll be sure to follow you back!

Have a wonderful and happy Heart Day!

Thoughts of You

Hi Friends!

I’m back with a CAS card that I created as a Valentine to give out this week! Another card that just happens to fit for this week’s ’Love is in the Air’ challenge over at Simon Says Stamp.

This adorable Peeking Pets set is from Catherine Pooler Designs.

I kept my card as clean and simple as possible (for me!) and went with some Stickles for bling and die cut heart stack for pop of contrast on the side. I apologize that’s it’s a little difficult to see the sparkle from the Stickles due to lighting.

Thanks for taking a look!

Love you, so, so much

Hello, Friends!

I’ve been busily getting inky in my craft space and seeing if after all the years, coloring is like riding a bike. I think I can confirm that the muscle memory is indeed there. 🤭

Since I had been working on coloring, a few images were ready to go and just needed some inspiration to match them with. I decided to visit Splitcoast Stampers because I remembered they have daily inspirational challenges, and found that my friend, Jeanette hosts the Wednesday sketch challenge! I was so excited!

I printed it out, went to my space and got to work thinking of what papers and embellishments would compliment the Mo Manning stamp, called With Love, (originally bought from Penny Black and is available in digital form at Mo’s store) that I had colored up and in waiting. Jeanette’s sketch was the perfect layout to highlight this image.

Here is the sketch called SC996

Hope you like what you see! Thanks for taking a look. AND there’s still time to join in the fun for this week’s sketch over at SCS! Would love to see what you create with it as well!
