We celebrated last night over at Paper Craft Planet with a little bit of a VSN. For our cards last night we went Retro and Shabby chic! Can you guess which one I am? :)
This is Cheeky Beauty and she's gone for the Retro Chic look tonight. She's such a cute stamp and so fun to color!
But I always hate that the sparklies don't show up very well on camera. Trust me though, she is a glittering beauty IRL!
I hope you enjoy all the release day cards!

Hi Friends!
I am verrrrrrry happy that it's Thursday...because that puts us one day closer to Friday!! Are you doing something fun for the holiday weekend? I have a few things that I'm looking forward to, but for the most part we're going to be sticking around town---sometimes that's nice in and of itself!

Today I have one more Wild Sprout (yes, from Roll Call!) for you before we start showing sneak peeks for the June release at The Greeting Farm (I'm so excited to show you what's in store for the next month)!

This is Miko! I just love her! I think she has the most adorable little expression on her face. The instant I saw this paper, I knew that I was setting it aside for Miko's card. I really wanted to do a 3D butterfly and incorporate in some washi tape too. I really like how it turned out. It's a sweet "thank you" card. :)
Hope you have a great day and I'll see you back her tomorrow for another Fantastic FFF challenge (and a sneak peek)!

Pretty Cool

Hiya!
How are ya? I had a doctor's appointment today, so I got to sleep in! Yipee! Now I'm back at work and posting my card (shhhhhh, don't tell). :)

I'm still working my way through the AWESOME Roll Call set of stamps. It's like a school bus load of Sprouts---because it's 10 in one pack!

This is Paul! He was actually one of the first sprouts I had colored up when I first got my package, but I've just been waiting for the right layout for him. And thanks to Mercy Kerin's sketch 73, the mojo finally hit!! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by! It's almost the end of the month and you know what that means...sneaks for The Greeting Farm are right around the corner!! See you soon!

Wicked Cool

Hello, Friends!
The weekend is nearly here and I couldn't be happier! How about you? I'm excited to chill and get to spend some time hanging out with friends--watching the LOST finale together!! I hope the writers don't leave us hanging! LOL. Did anyone got to the theater last night to watch the New York Times LOST special?

My card today is for the Farm Fresh Friday Challenge over at The Greeting Farm AND (surprise surprise) it's another WILD SPROUT! Yay! I just can't get enough of these cuties...and I hope you're enjoying them too!! This is Jade and she's the little rocker chick! aka CUTIE PIE! :)
I've colored her up with Copics and plopped her into a fabulous sketch layout provided this week by Mrs. Mary Giles! Such a fun sketch! If you look closely, I was trying to emulate one of the elements of Mary's sketch, so I crumped up the panel of star paper to try and give it that distressed look. It worked really nicely with the thickness of the October Afternoon paper...kinda made it look leathery.
And that's my card! Thanks for stopping by to take a peek and I hope you'll join us for this week's challenge. Have a great weekend!

Busy Beauties Goes Burtonesque

Hello and welcome to an exciting day at The Busy Beauties Boutique!

Not only do we have some marvelously macabre new images to share with you today on the Blog Hop, but we also have some fun & funky friends joining us:
The Burtonesque Dolls!

Our new images are inspired by the Tim Burton classic, "THE CORPSE BRIDE", and BBB illustrator Thomas Goins has really outdone himself with these amazing images! We thought they would be right up the Dolls' alley, so we invited them along for the hop *and* are super excited to announce that Busy Beauties will be sponsoring their challenge next week!

The Hop starts with Kelly and if you get lost along the way a complete hop order is also listed below!
You're going to love it; we have prizes so fab, it's freaky! Be sure to hop along and leave lots of comment-love, because there are TWO Secret Beauties or Dolls along this Burtonesque inspired hop… and TWO winners will be selected from their blog comments to receive 5 (yep, FIVE) Busy Beauties images of his/her choice! So whether you are in the mood to be beauty-ful or get funky,
we've got you covered.

My card for you today features Lil Lisette. All I could think about when I was coloring up this sweet and yet kinda creepy stamp, are those Verizon "dead zones" commercials! Do you know the ones? And then I was trying to come up with an "everyday" sentiment and with the help of a friend, it clicked...this should be a "welcome to the neighborhood" card!! LOL! Can you even imagine? We just got new next door neighbors and I'm curious as to what they would think if I brought over a batch of brownies and this awesomely constructed, handmade card accompanied. LOL! Well, even if these new stamps are a little eerie, I love them! Very Burtonesque indeed! Now, on with the HOP!

At the end of the hop, which is also your NEXT STOP, the new Busy Beauties Creation Station CHALLENGE is waiting for you. It's a sketch challenge provided by PaperAddict Catherine, who is a member of both the Busy Beauties and The Burtonesque Dolls DTs. We hope you'll play along! You have until 11:59 EDT on June 2nd to link your creation at the Creation Station.
In the meantime, we hope you'll have fun hopping and find lots of other-worldly inspiration! Enjoy the show!

Summer Summer Summer Time

HeeHee...of course I have another song in my head! I can't help it, these cutie Wild Sprouts just evoke the songstress in me!!

Sooooooo...this is SUMMER! And she is also from TGF's Roll Call set (but you probably already knew that)!
I'll be honest, Summer was one cutie that I had a hard time coloring up. Not because she isn't adorable or is uninspiring...but because I couldn't decide what colors to use for her hair and clothes! In the end I went with khakis (can't go wrong with khaki, eh?) and made her into a blonde bombshell. :)
I also dressed up her card with some FUN embellishments. I was just itching to use these new prima press-on flowers, and when I decided on this paper for Summer's layout, I knew the prima would be a fun touch!
And that's Summer! Just in time for the quickly approaching shorts and t-shirt season (aka Summer). :)
Thanks for popping in today! I would LOVE it if you would stop by tomorrow too because there's a mini release going on at The Busy Beauties Boutique and we're hop hop hoppin (OF COURSE THERE'S free stamps and a challenge involved too)!! See you tomorrow!

A Girl Named Maria

"Maria!
I've just met a girl named Maria,
And suddenly that name
Will never be the same
To me.
Maria!..."

Okay, who's seen West Side Story? I'm sorry, I just couldn't help myself! I saw this little cutie, her name is Maria...and there you have it...the song danced into my head and stuck. :)
Wild Sprout MARIA is also from the newly available monster package of Sprouts called ROLL CALL at The Greeting Farm! This little princess is on her way to encourage some little sweetheart in need of a boost (care of the TGF cares project).
I loved coloring Maria with bright and fun, flowery colors! I love her little shoes too! She just makes me smile!
And that's all for me today, short and sweet! I hope to see you back here tomorrow for one last Sprout before the Busy Beauties Hop on Thursday!

Greetings From Seattle

Monday, Monday...
Hello, Friends! I hope you are having a great Monday so far! All day yesterday I kept thinking it was Saturday, so I'm actually surprised I made it to work today. LOL!
Alas...the weekend always seems to go by way too quickly. I'm all in favor of 4 day work weeks...maybe someday. :)
As you know, Roll Call was released at The Greeting Farm on Saturday and this little cutie, Jeremy is in that set! You may recognize him from previously being released as a digi stamp, but if you're like me, if it's available in rubber, I have to have it. :)
I'll be back tomorrow with another Sprout...there are just so many cuties in this set, I may just be showcasing them the rest of the month! LOL
Have a super Monday!

Farm Fresh Friday Hot Stuff!

Hello and happy Friday!
I'm not sure if you know this yet, but it's quite the exciting day over at The Greeting Farm because the Farmers AND the Critter Crew both have BRAND NEW IMAGES to preview! AND AND AND there are 3 new members of the Critter Crew team!! Congratulations, Girlies and welcome to the FARM! Please stop by their blogs and give a warm welcome and congrats to
Amber
Shaela
And Jen!
Not only are there fun previews and new designers, but of course, there's also a Farm Fresh Friday challenge!!
Today's challenge is a color challenge from our awesome Creative Coordinator, Jessica and you're going to LOVE it...it might even make you think of "love" too with these fun and flirty colors. :) Or it might just make you think of Neapolitan ice cream, like it did for me! YUMMM!

For my card I've used Chibi Flute, one of the new Musical Chibis designed by artist Jessica Hymas. If you pop on over to the TGF blog you'll see there's a whole band---flutes, drums, a guitar, a trumpet and a violin! Super cute and perfect for sending cards to the budding musicians we know!
These acoustic-cuties will be released along with the highly anticipated ROLL CALL set---the ultimate ARMY of SPROUTS, as well as the SUPER cute and cuddly critters by Marina Neira!

Have a fabulous weekend and happy stamping! I can't WAIT to see what you create!!
